Good instuctor. Very helpful. However, i believe that hmoob dawb wedding and funeral song are sung similar at the beginning. No question asked. Sound just the same like he said in the video. I'm hmoob leeg. In the process of learning these wedding and funeral song myself. From what I can tell, our songs are very different from each other. It doesn't sound the same like hmoob dawb. So I believe the instructor was wrong about hmoob leeg's singing. I have never heard his hmoob leeg version before.
All i can say that i'm in the process of learning this on my own without the guidance of my elders... & i'm nothing but all too grateful to have come across your clips. Keep them coming & uploads posting... i find it all very beneficial for future purposes. Very grateful again...
qhuacai u r a retard..just because he speaks both language...haven't u heard that now days there are shamans out there who can speak many different language to communicate with other race...u moron we have to change with time...and situation...but over all i think hmng culture is stupid....so f...u qhuacai....
I know this guy well. We used to go to school together. I support his efforts in teaching Hmong culture to our younger generation, but I am very disappointed that he speaks half Hmong, half English. Usually, people who think that they are intelligent would talk like him.
HI there, do you know Mr. Bee Yang? I need help with some hmong traditional wedding info. let me know how i can reach him. thanks. I will giving a speech about Hmong traditional wedding in my class and need some specific info.
Is the class with this instructor still happening today? We have several boys/mens here in Sacramento that are willing to learn and travel down to Fresno to learn from this gentleman. He seems really professional and knowlegable. I would love to have my boys take his class. Does anyone know if this course is still happening today and if so, who would I need to contact please.
He's my cousin, he's a great guy and he knows alot of stuff about this great existing hmong culture. He's an administrator at Fresno State in the Social Work Program so if u wana learn u can actually go to his office and get more information....
does anyone know how each clan/last name came to be. He only mentioned Yaj and Lauj, but i want to know more... very interesting lecture. I wouldnt mind taking a class like this!
hi i'm having to write an essay on hmong marriages and the process... i have about two months to learn as much as i can is their any way i can seat in on one of his class or when or where can i find out any more info. on this please reply back.
Its good for the younger generations. Do the Miao in China do the same? Lawv pos muaj zaj tshoob txivxaiv li peb thiab? Thov qhia tuaj rau kuv yog koj paub. Thank you.
@mzmaneelai , do you even understood my english , you called me a bad son and a moron, ah ah, you are a stupid moron, no one was even talking to you,, but if you want to start some thing, be my guest...and write better next time, your english was poorly written...
Very good. Thank you. I just want to add that the pace of the tone for a marriage and funeral is different. When the mej koob is saying the zaj's for a wedding his tone is more brisk because it's a happy occasion. In a funeral, since it's a sad ceremony the tone is slower.
wow...awesome!!! any info on where I can sign up to learn more about the Hmong culture at stone soup? I wanna take my lil sis, lil bro and my cousins along. lol!
xav paub tias nws puas muaj dvd los yog cd muag qhiav hais zaj tshoob los yog txiv xaiv..
