  • John is a great guy :)

  • He keeps it real!!

  • Fed will return again to Castle Chess Camp in 2011, along with his friend, GM Nick DeFirmian. I can't wait!

  • @FunJr Hey Fun this is Spence. Nick DeFirmian too? That's awesome! Should be a great year

  • HAHA this guy is awesome. The first GM I ever heard talk that didn't sound fucking BORING. A cool funny guy that would be down for going to the bar the night before the tournament, hooking up with some girls, and stumbling into the tournament hung over in the morning.

  • Great interview

  • "Somebody played the Bird's Opening, and I just yelled at them"

    HAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • i would love to take private lessons from him ...wonder what his hourly rate is

  • Fed is awesome. He was always among the coolest of my chess friends.

  • i think this guy a real cool gm he tells it how it is,he actually seems like a person u can talk to great personality i can understand a lot from what he is saying.

  • @amar455 he's a hilarious guy and incredibly personable

  • I remember playing John When we went to St Pius H.S.

  • cool and funny guy

wish i could join the camp

  • Adults can join the camp. This year's camp is 14-21 June.

  • what a YANKEE!!!!! good lord!!!

haha im from kentucky and that voice is just outta this world to me. he sounds like michael savage.

anyway i like what he says he seems like a cool guy.

  • He is very entertaining and gives memorable game analysis. One of his more memorable comments to me was "You're having hallucinations, doctor!...."

  • funny guy :)

  • i met John in Bunratty in Ireland in 2007. A really down to earth bloke with no airs. Un like the avarage GM. A true gent.

  • John is quite a colorful character and is one of my favorites at camp! He has a knack of capturing the essence of a good or bad move in his analysis. We are fortunate to have John at camp!
