I don't know how to fly. animals: My my. Kermit: high up in the sky: Animals: High high: Because a frog is what I am. Animals: Yes man: Because there's one thing I can do: Animals: too hoo Kermit: come on and do it too. Animals: Too hoo.
My mom gets sick every time she hears this song. Like she's gonna throw up. It's known through-out the family that I was watching this when she was pregnant with my sister. I sing it quite often.
Whoo! I remember dancing to this song, boy,Sesame Street then was awesome, and it actually taught me many things, but Sesame Street now just promotes Ipods,iPhones, and the internet, whatever happened to letters? Numbers? Frogs?
You know what... I don't care, as old as I am. I am jamming to this right now. Go Kermit!! I loved this song when I was a kid. There's nothing like Sesame street during the 80s.
I grew up watching Sesame Street. Jim Henson taught me to read at age three. The shows that my children watch today are absolutely ridiculous. I love this.
Anyway, I first heard this from the a capella version on the 25th anniversary VHS. I had no idea that there was another version until about five minutes ago. Mmm, new wavieness.
hahaha, I like it how they are just throwing the muppets in the air at the end like whatever, doo wop hop, lol. Loved sesame street, you could actually have fun and learn as a kid...not like some of the shows today *shudder*
@BuckWilliams17 Correction: Sesame Street is not Jim Henson's brain child. It's the brain child of the Children's Television Workshop (now known as Sesame Workshop) and its founder, Joan Ganz Cooney.
The Workshop just asked Jim and his crew to have their Muppet characters appear on the show.
Thumbs up if this song still makes you hop and dance, no matter how old you are!!!!

Today's shows are too "involved". They have to involve the kid in them. I used to watch Sesame Street back in the 80's and learned just fine from it.
Jim Henson's brain child has gone to pot.
