You've obviously not heard all their great stuff...and yes there was addiction there, and a lot of the live shows suffered as a consequence, but Brad was such a funny and lovable character with a great voice, and with talented musicians working with him...how could you not love them?

I think if Bud, Eric and Rome should have made a new band with a different name. Then I would still have respect for them, and I'd actually go to their shows, where they could play all the sublime covers they want. Then we'd be like, Hey, this Rome guy in the band called _________ does some really awesome covers with the old boys.

The first show I'm going to if doc brown shows up at my house with the delorean. One of the best bands in the history of music, been listening to this s*** for 15 years.

I do agree that most of the music out in the mainstream today is total shit, but in the 90s people forget about a lot of the bad stuff. The boy bands, Backstreet Toys, N'sync, and those other shitty excuses were popular then just like we have Justin Beaver and the other shit today. People just remember Nirvana, Sublime, RHCP, and the others, but bad music has always been out....
