I can't believe that some ppl can see something this beautiful and powerful and come away focusing on the color of Jesus' skin...? If you are Christian, shame be upon you!! The rest of you prob. don't know any better. If your friend says "Jesus came to me and showed himself to me, Praise God!" Are you going to ask them what color He was? Or are you going to ask what He is like, what did He say and reveal to you, how did you feel? Will you not rejoice with your friend? A prideful distraction, imo
The words of the preacher and displayed in the video would have been sufficient. Adding the images of a man in the background violates God's commandment.

The video wasn't designed to promote worship of the man playing the character of Jesus in the passion of Christ movie, but to express a Reverence for the Essence of the Man of whom the man playing the role of Christ represented!! The intent was clearly to Glorify Jesus, not the man playing Jesus in the movie!!

Satan now knows EXACTLY how to appear to people, he will have light skin and long hair and a beard and be handsome just like all the artwork depict Jesus. Satan's job would be more difficult if less fake images of jesus existed.

If our faith is built on a solid foundation, we can discern the difference between the real and fake; and those with ears to hear the truth won't be caught unawares concerning false messiah's! Satan's Job would only be more difficult if more people submitted to & armed themselves with God's Word & lived accordingly!! GB

While I don't agree that he was "black as kedar" or his colour makes or break my faith, I find that its a little disturbing to always see these images as the default perception of Christ, it does feel borderline idolatrous and even suspicious.

But he deceives us with these false images, to get us to worship him & give vain worship to God.
And no, I am not saying He is black neither. No man alive knows how Christ looked in the flesh, but we all know that He is the Light. Read Matthew Ch24 and see just how Jesus worded about the false Christ's part.
