@Kathleenhenri Do you if I need to do something to get it to work? I can use the USB port to plug the tablet into my PC, but if I plug any Flash Drives into the USB port...nothing. My Flash Drive has a light which in the PC lights up, but does light up when I plug it into Tablet. I also have a hub with light which does light up when I plug into tablet. I tried to Chat with one ACER person and they said I needed to download a "FILE MANAGER" first to get the tablet to read the drive
@Kathleenhenri Then when that did not work, I chatted with another one who said, Sorry, USB port doesn't read Flash Drives, just used for PC to tablet connections. I am so confused. From all You Tube videos I have seen, the USB port seems to work for anything, now the one person at Acer says it will never. Do you have any words of wisdom? Thanks
Thank You, I went to the Acer web site and from the FAQ it says their Androd tablets can be connected to an external USB keyboard although it doesn't specify "all" tablets. Well I think I'm just going to try it out since I like th portability of a 7" vs. a 10".
I Googled your question and it seems that the A100 doesn't support usb keyboards, yet. Maybe with ICS which has not been released yet. Meanwhile, most bluetooth keyboards should work just fine. Good luck!
Thanks Kathleen! I just got a Iconia and LOVE it! I am just starting to learn Anrdoid though, so need some helpful tutorials and pointers on good peripherals and apps.
Hope top see more of your videos on this neat Tablet.
Usb wired keyboards seem to be supported out-of-the-box. Some people have not had good luck with wireless usb keyboards though. I think broad bluetooth keyboard support is coming with the June update. (fingers crossed)
Documents to Go can open or work with any Word document. Compatible with Power Point and Excel too. The files can be downloaded through DropBox or email attachments or transferred through usb or sd card.

There is a link to the keyboard in the description. Deal Extreme. Well worth the $18.60.
Have fun!

Root access is not required. Should be plug and play with the stock system.

I saw Titanium backup and Root explorer on one of your homescreen... do u need root access to get the USB keyboard working?

Excellent video! I was at my local electronics store and noone could tell me if I could use a USB keyboard with this or not.
Acer's site says USB keyboard support will be added via an update. Seems like that's not the case!
I tested the W500 and it's a slow pig compared to the A500. I was interested in the ASUS transformer however, this should do as well!
Thanks again for posting the video!
