Well he finally came home on 11-11-11, and Katie was driving with her friend to the welcome home party and got in a car accident, and passed away.. She never got to see her dad again.. :( R.I.P. @kaymhill My son is going in January. (And yes, yes, I know we are "bringing the troops" home. They bring home 25K but rotate 20K back in.) I am getting him a satellite phone. It works anywhere and can access internet. (Bin Laden used his in the Khyber Pass!) He is my only child and I am fortunate to be able to afford to give him one. Many of the kids that go over there send most of their money home to family. Sad, but true, They do have access on base when they are not in the field.

Us military personnel sacrifice so much to make it safe here. Do you know what its like to be in a desert for months? Go weeks without even a phone call home? What about not being able to sleep because of gunfire and youre scared for your life? And troops are risking their lives right now, and I'm sure youre still saying all this shit.

I may not be American and don't fully understand the way the majority of you feel about others saying that soldiers are doing the wrong thing by being in another country when it's clear some don't want you there but, seriously? I watch these video's so that I never forget there are those who have it worse than I do, friends and families filled with grief over a fallen loved one and a country having lost one of their brave men. @kaymhill My son is going in January. (And yes, yes, I know we are "bringing the troops" home. They bring home 25K but rotate 20K back in.) I am getting him a satellite phone. It works anywhere and can access internet. (Bin Laden used his in the Khyber Pass!) He is my only child and I am fortunate to be able to afford to give him one. Many of the kids that go over there send most of their money home to family. Sad, but true, They do have access on base when they are not in the field.

A New York-born soldier wrote “The town of Titatia was surrendered to us a few days ago. Last night one of our boys was found shot and his stomach cut open. Immediately orders were received from General Wheaton to burn the town and kill every native in sight. About 1,000 men, women and children were reported killed. @lesdoyle2000 Maybe he saw the horror of 9/11? As a NYer, it was devastation but unity, something we all need. How do you explain to your kid in 4th grade that he is lost his best friend 'cause both his friend's parents died and he is moving to another state to be with an Aunt? Their society promotes killing civilians and they are not afraid to use them as shields. Some kids parents in NY went to work one morning with no malice and they were murdered. They have no sympathy, why should we?

@lesdoyle2000 Here are your answers: Yeah, I did explain it to my son He is not a KID he is a US Army Soldier. Show some respect for the MEN who fight to keep you free! I explained that it was supposed to take out ignorant, conspiracy theorists like you, but we missed. The financing couldn't be traced because they used DRUG MONEY. (I worked in a club in NYC in the 80s, I know whereof I speak.) And lastly, the Washington Post could say I am quadripedal but would that make them right?

@lesdoyle2000 Thank you for your kind wishes. My son does get everything he deserves. After 10 months in the military he is a trained mechanic and has an Associates degree. He also has a very large, loving family who think the world of him. My son did not "invade" anywhere. He does as he is told, unlike most ungrateful bratty kids these days. I bet you get everything you think you deserve. I am sure it is coming out of my taxes. I truly hope YOU do get everything you deserve and more.

Im proud to say i come from a military family 2 cousins have been fighting for so long i cant remember and still are to this day one of them wont get to come back to the states for over 300 more days. Others in my family im glad to say there still here today and i can see them. I cant wait to see my 2 cousins when they come back one of them with there family him i havent seen in over 3 years now i love and miss you Shawn And Mike stay safe and remember we all love you
