I didn't even know Harry Potter did conferences? - But I have been to Lacock abbey in Somerset where many of the Hogwarts scenes are set... and my friend did print some of the itineraries for the first movie... Not long til the next movie anyway... oooo

I live abroad, so I can't go to leaky con

but I can't watch the movie either because my country has problems with international movies and so this year there won't be any Harry Potter in theaters, which is just... blurgh

Tips From A Floridian-

It's hot in Orlando. Really, really hot. You'll be inside a lot, but you'll want to bring shorts and light clothing.

Also, if you are attending the Open at the Close event, you will want to get to Ollivander's Wand Shop right away. It will have a longer line than anything else. Also, walk the full queue at the Forbidden Journey ride. Single riders line will not take you through all of the rooms, and the rooms are half the thrill.

*sigh* i'm not going to leakycon. but for the first time, i'm going to a Harry Potter midnight premiere and dressing up as tonks like I did for Halloween two years ago, and I'm pretty excited for that!! My friends' birthday is in July, and she's having her party as the midnight release of Harry Potter, and then a sleepover! so i'm not too down for not being able to go to leakycon :)

I've got a couple suggestions to get the most out of yours (and my) con going experience:

1. Good shoes. Your feet will thank you for it!

2. Forget about being self conscience. Strike up conversations with strangers in lines. High five fellow house members. Dance like a goober at the ball/wrock shows. If you do so, you will leave with no regrets.

3. Lastly, get tons of video footage and upload it to youtube so I can live vicariously through you. ;D
