To me, this was All Star Wrestling's best era the way I saw it from 1979 to 1981. Their connections to Portland Wrestling where they brought up wrestlers to wrestle in Vancouver, BC rings (Playboy Buddy Rose included) was a delight to see and will always live in my memory. I would love to see that image make a comeback to the entire Pacific Northwest. Maybe in years to come.
I last saw this on San Francisco TV about 30 years ago. at 4:42 he's having dinner with his long time tag team partner "The Polish prince" "Easy Ed Wiskowski (aka:col DeBeers)
What!?! This guy thought he was Rocky Balboa from the Rocky films? If so, then why was he such a bad guy? But, he did make more wrestling history as a villain in the ring than he did as a hero. Like I keep saying, I hope we get many wrestlers in today's world make their mark in wrestling rings throughout the Northwest like Playboy Buddy Rose did. He was definitely one of the best heels in the region.
I remember seeing this many many moons ago on All Star Wrestling. My dad & I use to sit down in front of the tube every Saturday afternoon and watch wrestling with Ron Mortier. Hopefully I spelled that correctly.
everyone asks about bull ramos sadly he quit right before buddy started taping portland shows on his own with a vhs. YOu see that cheap punk ass don owen did not want to pay kptv12 25 bucks a week to archive so only those that were home taped remain. There is a 1978 pbs documentary on youtube about portland wrestling and it has a little bit of bull when he was managing the iron shiek and that is pretty much it...

I remember this. I locve the waterbed. He rolled around on it like he'd never been on one before. Buddy was the Man in the Northwest. His face turn proved that. The fans jumped on his bandwagon right as it happened. We loved hating him, and we loved loving him. RIP, Buddy.

RIP. You gotta love these old time wrestling music videos, they don't make them like that anymore.
NWA Showcase on the net is the closest thing I have seen to old school wrestling.
