  • Nice man! This is on G, right? I think original is with capo on second fret so it's actually on A (I sing it on G cause of voice registry)

  • Thanks. That's correct. It's a bit too high for me in A, so I play it in G ...like Paul McCartney does nowadays too.

Thanks bro and keep pluckin your girl away.

  • Hi Rick. I have a new Taylor 12 string. I am always looking for good songs to play on it and this is definitely a good one. Great job! In the states this was on the Rubber Soul album when it was released in the mid sixties.

  • Thanks! That's interesting - in the UK this song was on the Help! album. I read that the Beatles weren't happy that the US record companies chopped their albums up into different selections.

  • In the US, my generation loved the Rubber Soul album. I wore out several copies. People thought of the songs in a certain order. So there was a bit of getting used to when the albums were first released in their British versions. The songs were still great, but some were missing. They were replaced by other really good songs. But then you had to find out what cd the missing ones were on.

  • I could NEVER get used to the songs up until A Hard Day's Night being in MONO instead of Stereo like it was on the American albums. There are a lot of people today who say that it was "synthetic stereo" but it wasn't. They actually recorded in stereo but for the UK, they only released their songs in Mono. Stereo was new then, so they just didn't know how to do it right, so they had ALL of the singing on one track and ALL of the music on the other, but it still sounded crisper, cleaner, & better.

  • Very nice!

  • I have been looking at covers all day for this song...this is the by far the BEST one!

  • Can someone tell me the chords to this beautiful song?

  • Hi. I've listed the chords, strumming pattern and how to play the intro in answers to previous comments - if you hunt through you should find them - Jez

  • absolutely great man. any chance you could let me know what the base walk-downs during the strumming are? thanks for the vid! 5 stars!

  • amazing

  • PLEASE TELL ME THE STRUMMMING PATTERN. GREAT PERFORMANCe

  • It's quite difficult to describe the strumming pattern, but not too hard to do really. It varies a bit, depending on whether you're playing some of the little bass runs or not. The basic strum is a a kind of "dum jing-a-jing-a-jing-a", where the "dum" is the bass note of the chord you're playing, the "jing" is a down-strum on E,B & G strings, and the "a" is an up-strum on those strings. I hope this makes sense - it's the easiest way I can think of to describe it.I hope you get on ok -Jez

  • Good job! Great singing! i always screw up this song cause i hate hitting the D in the begining of the chorus.

  • that was surprisingly legit---good stuff man

  • hey dude whats up

    that sounds really good

    i can almost play it

im just having trouble with like the strumming pattern

like i know you dont just keep strumming up and down and up and down

so like what do you do

    thanks for listening

  • amazing cover, good job man!

  • Is it just me, or did you change the key? My Beatles book says the chord progression goes A-F#m-D-E, but you seem to have worked a G in there somehow...

    Amazing cover, anyhow.

  • Yes,I play it G as it's a little easier for my singing range. Paul McCartney sometimes plays it in live concerts in G too.

  • Ah. I feel special for having caught it.
