@thomasnewby89 actually, there is. Kaufman has publicly poured his innermost self out on celluloid, in an attempt at getting beyond superficial illusions about identity, only to be consistently confronted with (unprofessional) reporters who don't have a whiff of insight into the artist they have been scheduled to interview. The reporter is not doing a consumer survey in front of the A&P; he is supposed to be introducing his audience to someone with whom he should already have become acquainted.
@ilikepikles5 I can't think of a screenwriter who does more press than Kaufman. (Directors do not count. Until "Synecdoche," Kaufman was not a director.)
