The Florida defensive backs helmet/face mask does contact Manny's arm before the ball reaches either of his hands. Clearly. Both Manny's hands are out-stretched toward the ball and the D-backs helmet contacts the recievers forearm. Both Manny's hands are atleast 3 inches from the ball when the defenders helmet contacts the recievers forearm. Its a difficult frame to catch but it is there to see. Was a nice tackle though.
Manny got tackled as he ran in the open to catch a pass, the defender did what he could to prevent a huge gain and risked pass interference in that proccess.
So the defender had little to nothing to lose given that Manny beat his man and then was tackled. The defender had nothing to lose and everything to gain if no interfernce call was made. An interference call could have easily been made and held up upon a replay review. Hail mary tackle, he tackled the guy before he caught the ball.
There shall be no interference with a forward pass thrown from behind the line. The restriction for the passing team starts with the snap. The restriction on the defensive team starts when the ball leaves the passer’s hand. Both restrictions end when the ball is touched by anyone.
Ball hit the receivers hands, as well as the Defender at the same time. Clean hit, Legal play, NO pass interference! End of story.

Didn't really matter though as my alma mater shut down the "most prolific offense" in the nation. Pffffff.....

I do not have slo motion video , but i finally got the correct frame.
The Florida defensive backs helmet/face mask does contact Manny's arm before the ball reaches either of his hands. Clearly. Both Manny's hands are out-stretched toward the ball and the D-backs helmet contacts the recievers forearm. Both Manny's hands are atleast 3 inches from the ball when the defenders helmet contacts the recievers forearm. Its a difficult frame to catch but it is there to see. Was a nice tackle though.

Manny got tackled as he ran in the open to catch a pass, the defender did what he could to prevent a huge gain and risked pass interference in that proccess.
So the defender had little to nothing to lose given that Manny beat his man and then was tackled. The defender had nothing to lose and everything to gain if no interfernce call was made. An interference call could have easily been made and held up upon a replay review. Hail mary tackle, he tackled the guy before he caught the ball.

Pass Interference:
There shall be no interference with a forward pass thrown from behind the line. The restriction for the passing team starts with the snap. The restriction on the defensive team starts when the ball leaves the passer’s hand. Both restrictions end when the ball is touched by anyone.
Ball hit the receivers hands, as well as the Defender at the same time. Clean hit, Legal play, NO pass interference! End of story.

@MurphyMonster It's honestly hard to tell, but I think the hit was a tad bit too early. It hit his hands as his arms were already wrapped around his head, I think it was a P.I., but none the less, good hit, no helmet to helmet, so yes legal, just a bit too early I think. Hard to tell though.

I hate OU , Im a Texas longhorn fan myself but you know what I hate alot more , DIRTY FUCKING PLAYERS! If you pause it at 0:28 you will see that Wrights crown of his helmet is touching Manny's left forearm! The ball is also in this frame and the ball is atleast a good 1.5 feet away from his hands.

Well , he touched the WR before the ball got there , he was leading with the crown of his helmet and hit a defenseless WR before the ball was even there , the forearm was not the BIG HIT , but it shows that the ball wasn't there as he was getting touched , the hit was laid after the ball hit him.
