its XP SP3....i have a simple vista theme applied by uxtheme patcher. transbar and true transparency works fine but i cant find anything good for my start menu But transbar and TT dont have the same type of transparency....dont wana make my taskbar entirely transparent!......

would kill for a solution!

i tried Vistart but it restricts options with shortcuts n stuff on the startmenu....i like the look of it but i cant keep the important stuff on top like default programs and i couldnt right click and customize...

do you know of a similar freeware that will let me do that? maybe something like transbar but for start menu???

well sometimes you it's just your computer how to do this is to get rid of some files that are no use to u and then refresh you refrsh it but that may not be the problem. I have a ? Do u leave your computer on all night?????

if yes then tere is your problem shut down your compute for a day and do not turn it on that gives it time to reset and you will have the transparnt thing but if not then i have to figure out something

you can actually enable aero in basic....
