The 2 things that (should) make that tripod better than a pile of books or just the table, are that it can be brought with u anywhere, and it is TILTABLE. But as we see at the end of the video, the puny thing nearly collapses under the weight of the camera x)

That thing might even work with some light, small digital camera ^^

if you made a springed piston that could be cicked into place and that shot out if it hit something hard. if you put that into a new ball, which ofcourse is very bouncy and make the device from lightweight material, when the ball hits the ground, it bounces off but just before that the spring releases adding more ower to the ball causing it to go higher ON THE FIRST BOUNCE!!!
