The hardest piano piece is probably the screws. They're quite hard.

feux follets not as difficult. if you want difficulty, try godowsky chopin etude no.10 op. 12. revolutionary etude. this is entirely played with the left hand with no right had what so ever. however, the war concerto tops them due to technique and maximum speed required in certain crescendos

there are many pieces that are more diffivult than de feux follets by franz liszt :). but this isnt one of them.

@hjiuhfhrehui alkans music is complicated, but no more complicated than liszt hexameron or grande etudes; also, alkan's music lacks the melodies or beautiful sounds of liszt or chopin, such as the polonaise or sonata in b; that is, i don't think anyone would listen or replay alkan music in their own mindl; nor does his music tell a story or evoke the emotions and technical diversity expressed in the iazzetti concerto; his music is good for tech'l exercise for pianists of the highest level.

@s900203 Mazeppa is about 7.5 minutes long and is very difficult, but the War Concerto is 30 minutes long with huge crescendos; a longer workout with triple the playing time.
