  • Ferris Barracks 89-90.The time of my life.

  • I was stationed at Ferris Barracks in Erlangen, Germany when I was in the US Army. I was there in 1985 - 1986, and during those 2 years I experienced some of the greatest times of my life. Ferris Barracks closed in 1992 and has had many american soldiers stationed there since WWII, and many have the same feelings for it as I do. Erlangen is a beautiful city, I miss it dearly and long to go back. The 2 best times of the year to go would be during the BERGKIRCHWEIH FEST in May or during Christmas

  • I'm now in Erlangen lol

  • God I love Germany so much, its a million times better than here in USA, and I cant WAIT to move back to Germany becase the USA is so trashy and poor and ugly, its really better on TV than in person. God bless the European Union!

  • @skewbrain (Part 2)

... are at least subscribers of one of the christian churches - whether they do it for fear and thus hate god, I don`t know for sure, but I doubt it. At this point you should know that in Germany if you`re a member of a church you got to pay a so called church tax automatically.

So to sum it up, I`d say that it`s a rumor.

I`m not so sure whether your questions are serious, but nontheless...

In Erlangen (which is situated in northern Bavaria) nearly everyone speaks at least some English (as is true for all regions that had been in the British or American sectors) as it`s usually the first foreign language at school..

Concerning god or Jesus, well personally I don`t believe in any god (Jesus himself cannot be believed in, as he was a real person) and have my reasons for it, but most Germans ...

  • Do most Germans speak English? Is it true that most of them hate God/Christ or is it just a rumor?

  • @sKewbrain - Where do you get your information? Germany is a Christian country with predominantly lutheran and Catholics. It's a beautiful country and pretty much everyone speaks English and some times more then two languages. Go out travel and explore other cultures hands on. Don't listen to rumors and read disinfo!

  • Awesome I was stationed here in the early 80's

  • Erlangen is a great smaller city.

    Visit in the Summer.

There is a party all summer long on the hill.

Steven, dude, your girlfriend was all over that German buddy of yours.

She was next to him and all over him in about every shot.
