@DarkOpsPredator It is, though personally I hate the recolor job they did for the original AvP arc. Changing predators from tan to green, their armor from green to black, the doctor's personal coat from blue to white, facehuggers from pink to green... All around it seems like their new colorist was just conforming the colors to match trope stereotypes rather than staying remotely true to the original material or even the series as a whole.
I doubt it, unless Dark Horse Comics or Randy Stradley were mentioned in the credits in the first AvP movie, which I don't remember them being mentioned anywhere at all.
I guess the elements and various concepts from the original story of the comics themselves could be reused without requiring any permission somehow?
There was another AvP script by Peter Briggs which is closer to the very first AvP comics and the AvP: Prey novel, except Machiko had been renamed as Hiroko.
@ShaolinYautja Yeah, they took just enough that the original story will now never be made into a movie... While they deviated enough to make a sub-par movie that contradicted a lot of the old series and just could not deliver with its characters, while it denied us of the characters so many fans wanted to see on the big screen. At least to me, replacing Dachande and Noguchi with Scar and Lex was like making a Batman movie and replacing Bruce Wayne with John Everyman.
In theory I could, if I had the game, a method of getting videos from the game onto my computer, and had played through the game myself before so I more thoroughly understood the character. But... Sorry.
Having red this entire book series and even the comic, I can say they seriously fucked up when they decided not to go with the story from this series. I think the movies would be much more compelling if based off of this series.
And you post my AvP COMIC BOOK is my favorite. I collected. This is the story they should of made it. EXACTLY Perfect sense and how it happend and all. I just hope some day they will make a Cartoon out of Aliens vs Predator the BEGINING.
Great video that you posted and I hope you can post more even tho your not a AvP fan.
*Scratches chin.* Not an AvP fan..? OH! You mean the Alien vs Predator movie. I do plan to post plenty, the problem is actually doing it. I'd like to make a tribute to the preds of Predator: Captive and Thrill of the Hunt, but lack the proper music. I've also got something for Newt during the events in and possibly before Aliens, but haven't had the time to actually start putting it together. This weekend I may start on a second Xenomorphs 101, but those aren't really music videos.
i dont understand why some people hate the alexa/scar "relationship" but love this! WTF its almost exactley the same thing. i thought the avp movie was awsome,oh and so is this vid!
It was still a human/yautja team up, but the circumstances and kinds of individuals involved were completely different. This was a classic moment, Lex/Scar was a tiring attempt at replication after millions that came before it. That is why people loved the Dachande-Noguchi teamup and hated the Scar-Lex one. It was supposed to be an unusual, special moment. And people are trying to turn it into the norm.
But yes, thanks for the comment. @_@ Though personally I'm not a fan of the new Alien vs Predator series. Not specifically because of Lex and Scar by any means, but because of its brutal assraping of the Alien, Predator, and Aliens vs Predator continuities in all their forms. Alright as a stand-alone, but to consider it part of the classic Universes' canons is an insult to them almost as much so as Alien: Resurrection. (Canon in the AvP fandom, the lazy fan's excuse not to think or read.)
What is the name of the comic where Bakuub is the hero Yautja? I've got the ones with Dachande but I can find any Aliens Vs Predator comics where Bakuub is in?
Bakuub was never in any of the comics. He was from the novel Aliens vs Predator: Hunter's Planet. Which is debated as being part of the Noguchi continuity or not because of it's many conflictions with Prey and War. (Not that War didn't conflict with Prey, Duel, and Aliens: Berserker on a regular basis.)
You're probaly right, I've looked at it in that way too, and therefore I don't see the things that happens in the comics as facts about the avp universe cuz they did start as films and therefore the films facts about these creatures are the true facts. Not that I don't like the stories in the comics, and some of the comics could be connected to the films, but only some of them...
Well, that's the big argument about canons. But one problem with the "movies only" stance is that both Alien Resurrection and Alien vs Predator don't just conflict with the books and games, but common sense, multiple laws of science, and the movies that came before them. The series has become far too complex to easily form a proper continuity, mainly because FOX doesn't give a rat's ass about continuity just making money.
Damn post size limit... Anyway, canons don't always follow the media a series started in anyway, why should AvP be any different? For an example... Look at Digimon. It started as a freaking virtual pet, then a manga series most fans don't even realize ever existed. Yet most people seem to only look at the first two animes as the canon for it.
This may sound a bit harsh, but the predators seen in Alien vs Predator, Predator: Forever Midnight, and the video game Predator: Concrete Jungle... Well, they're about as much yautja as this keyboard I'm currently typing upon is. There are so many massive conflictions between those and the classic Aliens vs Predator, Alien, and Predator Universes... That realistically they can'tpossibly be considered part of the same continuity. Scarface was Hish, the new predators of this new franchise.
The same can be said about ALien vs Predator's aliens. They are not xenomorphs. Their new title is revealed in Aliens: Original Sin, based on Resurrection which ALSO doesn't fit in with any of the classic Universes. I think it's something like echodermid.
Actually I've got a song about being captive hehe but I'm not sure how well it'll fit in though... It's an old Johnny Cash song, but I don't care about the song I just wanna see some more comic vids about the Yautja! And I've heard about that Bakuub fella before, I think u should try and make a vid about that comic!
Well, that's what's difficult. Personally, I like both species just about equally with the xenomorphs just barely taking the lead, so it's not that I don't want to make the videos... But Dachande IS the only yuatja hero we've ever had. Bakuub came close, but Hunter's Planet only exists in novel form. And hell, there was just barely enough Dachande for this.
This was awesome man! Do u got more AVP comics? Cuz if u do please make more vids like this about them=D And if u do make more vids like this Let Me Know! 5 stars!=D

After watching through this it reminds me of how much the AvP movie ripped off so many elements from the original Dark Horse comics by Randy Stradley.
Even the marking on Dachande (Broken Tusk)'s helmet looks familiar here.
Same goes for the Predator marking Machiko's forehead with the Alien's blood the movie also ripped that off.
The team up between Machiko and Dachande here was fine and original.
But I find it awful the way they paired up the Predator "Scar" and Lex in the movie.

It's sucks he had to die. He was KICKASS.

This is the one they should of done the movie.
How the Predators drop their cargo and to start for the hunt for their young predator warriors.
This story is the BEST of all how the AvP started.
Thanks for posting this images of Dark Horse Comic Books. Which all this makes SENCE.
