  • I have a strong stomach & I'm prepared to see some "really sick shit" (:

  • @TheAlicia0807 no your not.

  • @carnage364 I've seen a lot of sick shit,soo I'm pretty sure I can handle it.I got balls man. (:

  • R.I.P. David Hess

  • Hess was 36 in 1972, so Junior could at least be in his 20s without Krug being too young as his father. Good review!

  • Watch the remake, its really good, trust me and its not as disiturbing as the original, but the remake is more fun to watch and its more interesting

  • Films like this discuss violence in a meaningful way, in our culture we've made it acceptable to think that when we are attacked we attack. That violence can be justified under certain circumstance.

You've hurt my family raped my daughter now i will kill you and it is justified. OR IS IT?

This movie shows to good people that have acted as violent as the criminals have they're child is still dead and what are they left with? im not above it, i would do the same i guess

  • i just want 2 kno is there a full 91 minute copy outhere somewhere or am i searching 4 somthing that will never b availible

  • I didn't think it was scary, typical. I expected it to be what it's called; about the very last house on a row of houses that is supposedly haunted, or inhabited by a dangerous killer, that a few teens got dared by their friends to go into. Either way, I personally think, while this movie is considered a rogue classic, it can't be truly scary unless you're a genophobic teenage girl, or a real rape/torture victim.

  • A horror classic and it's remake was suprisingly good.

  • Is this movie as bad as the Canadian slasher Gutterballs?

  • I think you did a good job reviewing this film. I saw it by myself in 2006 and was disturbed by it...I cant imagine how society took it back in 1972...the rape scenes are just sick, brutally nasty, i mean they play with the poor girls intestines for god sake. The film was exactly what i was looking for tho something completely taboo, sick, cutting edge and twisted...was just shocked it had been done so early (1972). Fucked up film but it draws you back. P.S. the main bad guy wrote the music

  • Good review of a classic. I think the bad editting has to do with the numerous cuts imposed on the film. I did my own re-edit using the out takes/deleted scenes on the 2 R1 releases. the first release has more stabbing/gut pulling(including a scene where they pull Phyilis' pants down). The second release has more of the girls being forced to make it with each other and Sadie going down on Mary. From what I read most of this was in the initial release in 1972.

  • LMAO she bit his dick off! The dad took a long ass time to kill the fool and the shaving cream was pointless...

  • Awesome review! Certainly agree with everything you said.

  • horror classic

  • Well-thought out review, i just love the 70s feel to it

  • I had the same problem with this movie first time I watched it. But then i bought it a year later and fell in love with it for some reason. I even like the music in it and have met David Hess in person, he's a pretty down to earth guy believe it or not.

  • @slashville Yeah, it's not that I don't like the music, I just think it's really unfitting for chase sequences and such. It's awesome that you got to meet David Hess, wish I could meet him.

  • @Moviefan7359 the remake uses a cover/piano version of sweet child of mine and it justs adds to the chills the movie gave us beforehand :)

  • Great review, Josh. I really love this movie. A lot of people I know thought this was so vile and terrifying that they couldn't watch it again. I was able to stomach through it but its easily one of the most shocking and violent films i've ever seen.

  • Great Review. For me this movie started off slow but got better as it went, especially the end. And I definitely agree with you that on a second watch this movie will be better.

  • Great review, Josh. Yeah, this is a fantastic movie. I actually think this is one of the scariest movies I've ever seen, mainly because shit like this actually happens in real life. Stuff like that makes me want to be a cop. Have you seen the remake? It's pretty damn good, for a remake.

  • @JesterHopperpot1 I said in the review that I hadn't seen or plan to see the remake. A lot of my friends have told me it sucked, but I think I could trust you because my friend's idea of a good director is Michael Bay (I think that speaks for itself). I'll check it out.

  • @Moviefan7359 OK, where does your friend live?! I want his freaking head! lol

But no, the remake is actually pretty damn good, and is shocking on its own.

  • @JesterHopperpot1 Okay, that's cool. I'll have to see it sometime.

  • Have never seen it but I think I now will.

  • Good review! I plan on seeing this one eventually. I'm really turned off of Wes Craven, but if you say this was made with the guy from Friday the 13th, it might be good.
