I'm totally okay with movies meant for younger audiences to have sad moments. Heck, I like to cry here and there. As long as it's got a happy ending like this attached to it (not bittersweet; I'm just sick of that in the "kids" movies now), This was a pleasant ride and one of my favourite movies growing up.

I respects animals. I love dogs. This is one of the films that i will hands up to. There are many amazing stories where animals are saviours in reality as well. Omg...I just can't stop myself from crying. Every time Matt says "I love you" to Lassie at the end...ugh! It's just so beautiful! I remember this was actually the very first movie I cried on when I was a kid. I'm 18 and still crying! lol They need to make more movies like this. Sucks that they don't. The 90's were the best! <3

The crash scene at the begining was filmed so close to where I grew up, and go home to on holidays and such. I lost my dog eddy two years ago, and even though we have a new dog, I miss him sooo much. I will always miss him. Dogs are mans best friend.
