  • My favorite 311 song .... Long life for 311. Cheers !!

  • Though amazing, I must agree, 2004 was perfection.

  • i was at this show. i've been to 7 311 shows. and 3 of them were 3-11 days. can't wait for the next one.

  • 04 is better played

    It's amazing

  • i agree. i dont know why either. only other that does it for me is : one day youll see the clear blue.....

  • what does it sound like when someone chokes on a dick? No offense man but thats a really stupid thing to say lol So just kinda...shhh from now on ;)

  • hazHahaahaha . that dick is in your ears. listen to 311, they will teach you to lose that hate bro.

  • 311 is the shit shit the fuck up

  • i know how you feel, but not many do,if they only knew ?

  • I dont know about chills. But if this song were a world, I'd want to live there forever

  • This is a great song, it starts slow, then really gets into it!

  • it's running for me...although this is one of the best solos and a great song... running has always been one of my top 5.... possibly top 2

  • Tim is great, dude!

  • sumthins weird with nicks voice...it doesnt sound like he's using his usual effect...its too plain, like no echo/reverb at all...regardless, its still badass, 311 rules

  • 311 is numbero uno nofucking doubt!!!!

  • Man, I've seen 'em 6 times and they never play this song. One of my favorites!

  • they played this at all the 3-11 days i've been to. they also played it when i saw them in tampa in 2005.

  • def. just smoked a blunt to this song... my favorite happy 311 day!

  • 311 day in New Orleans --- I'll be there representing Livonia, MI!!!!!!!!!

  • favorite song or at least 1 of my many

  • i love this shit i can always come to a 311 video and catch mad positive comments from whoever else is watching.

people are such dicks elsewhere, its great that as 311 we all share a chill vibe

  • hell yea man, same goes for the shows too man, amazing people.

  • It's so hard for me to pick ONE 311 song that I could call a favorite, but everytime I hear this it becomes more and more apparent that this might be the one. Especially when I can watch miT lose himself in the energy of that solo, it's orgasmic.

  • I totally agree. It's orgasmic..

The one time I tripped the shrooms fantastic, I heard this song and I swear the end solo was better than sex.

  • You're not doing it right then

  • I LOVE 311...I discovered them like a few days ago and got totally obsessed with them since that day and now I can't stop loving them!!!!! TOO hot to handle!

  • never too late to start :)

  • ay, right you are

  • HAHA , thats what happens, who catch the 311 fever, iv had it for like a year and a half now, they really are unlike anyother band. P-nut made me wana start playing bass

  • I KNOW the feeling...Mahoney and Nick inspire me with those guitars!!!!

  • Definitely, miT inspired me to play guitar along with Thom Yorke of Radiohead, P-Nut makes me want to play bass, and Chad inspired me to play drums..not too good at drums yet, but I can play most of Freeze Time and am damned proud of it haha

  • Had the fever since I first saw them in '01, 311 Day 08 will be my 41st show.

  • I love how stoned Tim is during the shows. I went to see the 7/24 at Meadowbrook up in Gilford, NH and I was about 15 feet from Tim and I think he only opened his eyes like twice during the show lol

    fucking amazing.

  • THIS SHOW WAS SOOO RAD! I had to come from Washington state to see it and it was worth all the effort. 311 day in '08 - 6 months and counting!!

  • mahoney* and ughhhh i wish they had all the drums and junk going during the solo, its so badass

  • tim honeys solo is the sickest shit ever

  • Transistor is the best album, one of my favorite all-time of any band

  • Fo-shizznet.

  • Transistor would have to be my fav. album, tho with 311 it's hard to pick a favorite. As much as I love the happy feeling I get from RUNNING, I'd have to say that this song is my all time Favorite from 311. I always get an amazing euphoric blast of vibes whenever I hear it. Goosebumps every time. Listening to this on 'shrooms is like a mental orgasm.

  • great song!

    i can play it

  • sounds good to me! cant wait till thursday in Columbus, OH. always the best show in O-H

  • didn't mean to piss in your corn flakes. 311 rule

  • Poor Nick... I can hear his voice straining... this must have been a ways into the show. still awesome... all their songs are great!

  • i was disappointed with this....needs backup guitars during the solo and voice does sound forced : / they still rock though

  • I agree... The solo is much more powerful with the back up guitar. I wish Nick would actually use his guitar once in a while live

  • This and Stealing Happy Hours are the best songs off Transistor IMO.

  • Along with Jupiter and Electricity. Just look at how miT lets it all flow out after Nick's last chorus...

    <3<3 Today, the longest day.

  • If someone wants to see the video I did with this song just go to my profile and click in the video "311 - Use of Time"

  • Nick's voice sounds kinda forced in this song. not his best performance...songs still one of my favorites tho

  • One of my favorite 311 songs.I just finished tivoing that show on HD Net.

  • damn yeah i only caught like a 1/4 of that and it was on for 4 hours lol

  • I have never heard these tracks before. Gotta say I love em both!

  • will you all stop bitching and enjoy the music

  • I really don't like this song live, what with the lack of acoustic guitar in the intro and no heavy rhythm guitar during the chorus solos. It just doesn't do the song justice. That being said, it is my favorite 311 song of all time probably. Somone please make Nick Hexum pull his fucking weight on the songs with two guitars and pick up the axe. He most definitely could have played rhythm on that song.

  • Agreed. Although it's not a bad performance by any means there's no shame for Nick to play an acoustic guitar on stage.

  • when u get into the music. facial expressions just happen. gives it more feeling and allows singers to focus.

  • oh, and I forgot to say. Please, someone tell nick hexum to don't do all of that strange facial expressions and movements while performing use of time, coz it has nothing to do with this music.

  • Its very difficult to perform use of time live, it always get very different from the studio record. But its great anyway.

  • they played both!! hell ya

  • awesome thanks....
