that's what she said haha i'll just add to what she said. if ur gonna pierce ur lip. just go buy some 14 or 16g piercing needles. you can get a pack of five for like 2 bucks and itl be a hell of a lot better then safety pins lol they come individually packaged and sterilized. and don't use Listerine. at least not that much. once a day at the most. unionized sea salt water is a better alternative. wont dry your shit out as much. it'll heal faster. (sources) my own lip septum and ear piercings.

@slick50altboii oh man, i don't suggest you do it , if you've never done piercings before, and if you still end up doing it make sure to Google how to sterilize the needle. like used rubbing alcohol and putting the needle over a flame. as for size, get a lip ring and make sure its as think as the needle , because if you pierce it and the jewelry is thicker , it wont go in.

@slick50altboii You can buy regular needles from a drug store like CVS or even Wal-Mart. And if the needle is thick then it might ruin your gum. You can use a sewing needle, not the best but still better than a knitting needle. If you're still going to do it sterillze the needle. The last thing you need is a infection and a crappy hole. I got my lip done about a week ago and the ball loosened and came off so i lost it and now literally im keeping the piercing in with a frickin back off an earring. it may sound sad but i really want to keep my piercing and the place i got it is like a 3 hour drive so this is the only way i can keep it. @BobLikesCheese1000 not if the whole is a bit healed or completely healed. think of it as putting makeup on with your lip ring, the makeup still goes in a bit, as long as its not freshly pierced it should be fine.
