When I do it on my iPod touch it sits on a black screen if I install Cydia it doesn't even go to the list of commands. When I do it with nothing checked it goes through the commands but when it downloads and reboots my iPod won't start at all. Please help!

If it says authorize just click store way at the top not itunes store then click autorize computer. Then sync your ipod and it will remove it and it should say add all synced apps to ipod click yes or go to apps and click sync WHILE your ipod is plugged in

when uploading the firmware into redsn0w it tells me that it was "Unable to recognize specified IPSW" which is strange because I went into settings/about and downloaded the 4.2.1 (8e600) firmware.

I tried also uploading the 4.2.1 (8c148) - even though thats not my current software, and that worked. However, my ipod froze in the reboot stage.

Any ideas?

Hey people, if your ipod touch is jailbroke and you want to mod games, then just add -imodgame.appspot.com- to your sources. Go into it and click the game you would like to have a mod for. once you have downloaded the game's mod, go into the app you receive for it. Next on the bottom hit profile, and then thank the inviter, type MTU2NzQ2 (CASE SENSITIVE), this will give you 25 additional mod points to get started. This really works! Try it while it still does!!!!

@1xxyuk it doesnt if you have a 2g mc model and also if you are using different firmware for a 2g mc model. my one never got passed it so i had to hold the power button (left top corner) and the home button (bottom centre) for about 15seconds (or until it turns off and turns back on with the apple logo). p.s the only way to jailbreak a 2g mc model is only if you have a mac and download greenpoison. if you got a windows computer then sorry, but yoy have to wait for the redsnow update
