@TGODKID You bet by if he will win or not. Say you and I put up (x) amount of money. I roll a 2 (which is a bad number), then you win the money because I lost. If I rolled a 7 (good number), I would win the money because you lost. Hope that helps.

the shooter bets, then the person clockwise to the shooter bets up to the amount that the shooter bet, if he only bet partial, the next person can bet the remaining amount of the shooters bet. if the first better already bet the whole amount the shooter threw down, then the remaining players bet amongst themselves on whether the shooter will win or lose.

Yea around my way sometimes we set an amount and we HAVE to play until we use that amount, example lets say theres 6 of us playing, we all agree to play lets say 50 dollers worth, once someone loses there whole 50 there out of the game, kinda like a elimanation process so SOMEONE is goin away with all the money, 6 times 50 is 300$

he missed other points of the game:

in back alley dice, you can "catch" a roll from you opponent. "catching" means that the roll does not count. also, if people are sidebetting, then if you crap with a 2,3, or 12 on the first roll, you are still on the dice. if you crap with a 2,3, or 12, on the first roll, your opponent decides whether youre still on the dice or not

There's a lot more to "back alley" dice than this. It's still craps, and private craps at that. There are side bets, the shooter can take odds from the faders, and players can make flat bets between each other.
