While one part of Ubisoft was working on AC3 ever since AC2 came out, a different part of the company was making Brotherhood and Revelations. Teamwork keeping us occupied while they prepared for AC3 and tried to get the end of Desmond's story released by 2012.

Just my opinion, but perhaps people could think for just a second. Desmond's American, correct? The story revolves around him, correct? Would it not make sense for him to try to finish his story in a place where he could take full advantage of his skills while still remaining fairly inconspicuous? Just saying.

There will be American Templars, American Assassins, British Templars, and British Assassins. Desmond's story ends with this new Assassin's memories, in America, especially considering Desmond is American.

@SangfroidWarrior Agreed. I was originally hoping that the third assassin's creed will be set during the Napoleon era, that would make some great game setting. The creators could make a large variety of location for us to explore, ranging from Russia's snowy forest to French cities. I'm slightly disappointed that they chose the american revolution, but hopefully they will eventually make a game set during Napoleon time.

@sharklord Actually, the first game was set in the Holy Land, between Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre. Assassin's Creed: Revelations took place in Constantinople. Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood did take place in European countries because that's where the main protagonist lived.

It looks interesting, but I'm a bit confused how the game will work in an era so heavily reliant on firearms. All battles were fought with muskets, not sabers. The architecture of colonial America wasn't exactly all that daunting either. Hell, there's not exactly much to climb other than the odd Bell tower in the towns of the Revolution.
I would much prefer it to take place in Russia in 1910 or something, or even England in the 1840s. THAT would be awesome. This? Looks good.
@TheSilentOne50 think about it. Muskets were nothing like the rifles today; they took upwards of 2-3 minutes to reload. This leaves the combat open to more physical weapons such as sabers and knives, or as the recent box art has shown us, Native American weapons such as bows and tomahawks. There will be American Templars, American Assassins, British Templars, and British Assassins. Desmond's story ends with this new Assassin's memories, in America, especially considering Desmond is American.

@SangfroidWarrior Agreed. I was originally hoping that the third assassin's creed will be set during the Napoleon era, that would make some great game setting. The creators could make a large variety of location for us to explore, ranging from Russia's snowy forest to French cities. I'm slightly disappointed that they chose the american revolution, but hopefully they will eventually make a game set during Napoleon time.

@sharklord Actually, the first game was set in the Holy Land, between Jerusalem, Damascus, and Acre. Assassin's Creed: Revelations took place in Constantinople. Assassin's Creed II and Brotherhood did take place in European countries because that's where the main protagonist lived.

It looks interesting, but I'm a bit confused how the game will work in an era so heavily reliant on firearms. All battles were fought with muskets, not sabers. The architecture of colonial America wasn't exactly all that daunting either. Hell, there's not exactly much to climb other than the odd Bell tower in the towns of the Revolution.
I would much prefer it to take place in Russia in 1910 or something, or even England in the 1840s. THAT would be awesome. This? Looks good.

@TheSilentOne50 think about it. Muskets were nothing like the rifles today; they took upwards of 2-3 minutes to reload. This leaves the combat open to more physical weapons such as sabers and knives, or as the recent box art has shown us, Native American weapons such as bows and tomahawks.
