The thing I don't like about this is how through jazz's history, people have tried to "whiten" the genre. Rhapsody in Blue, for example. This version does the same thing.. but it is nice i suppose haha.
comparing this version with one by the KS later, and doing that with other arias, for me, singers until Bob Chilcott were modest on scene whereas those recruited after him swank much more during song and during claping (for exemple in 2007 watch how they put their finger in the mouth for the same aria, for the overture of sevilla, the tenor wants to sing only once the note while before the older tenor sung more times the note! and this for every singers and for the most arias!
