The pilot in the video is Tume. His plane setup consists of:

-Turnigy SK 35-36 910kV w/ Turnigy Plush 40A ESC

-3S2200mAh batteries

-15x7 APC-E prop

-Futaba 617 FASST rx with Hitec HS-65 servos (HS-65MG in rudder)

-Weight with battery 1125g

-Power with full battery ~440W

-6mins of motor time consumes about 1500mAh from the battery

The setup was chosen with adequate power and weight savings in mind. Of course, a bigger motor (eg. Turnigy SK 35-42 1000kV) would give more power if needed.
