then, WTF? straight swords in feudal japan? CITE me a source please!
there is NO evidence that after the adaption of the katana's curved shape, chokuto were still used/made... not to mention that there are NO blades that anyone has ever found that look like that...
the straight blade is a creation of stephen k hayes.... its pure ninja craze.

if you want to call it a ninjato, you need to realize that shinobi ( commonly known as ninja) never used that term. nor did their profession delineate any specific weapon...
