  • awesome video, really helped me out

  • awesome video, really helped me out

  • Damn, was the graphics really that shitty three years ago?

  • I miss that warp sounds :D

  • I'm sure the info this video gives is great.

But dont get me wrong but with this quality an no audio suport to explain, I dident even bother to watch.

Toobad this is something that realy needs a good tutorial aboud it.

  • nice tutorial, nice kill

  • nice tutorial, nice kill

  • i always suggest this video to any pirate newbies, it cuts all the bullshit you read in the guides and shows you how to find targets fast.

  • um... point and click is a rush?

  • this is a video on how to kill a noob just like me and that is one baaad ship the dude is flying lemme tell ya

  • "immeadeatly". lol

  • Beautiful ship there.

This little video I think embodies the rush and excitement that can be had in EVE.

    Well done :)

  • some ninja stole some loot from my corpsmate, we waited 3 hours outside of a station and killed him

  • so thats who attacked me their... i will get revenge!

  • nice ship i like it good pirate ship or speed ship or watever but still im sure in a fight with a battle ship he could do some damage n then escape!

  • ok this video is more confusing than helping m8, waht about telling how you set up your overview? what do you have to have in your overview and what about range in the scan? 15AU some people dont know how many km that is so! otherwise I would say yep we can see you got a kill lol

  • This isnt really a noob guide. This guide is meant for players who already know a little bit about PVP. If you don't know what an AU is then those players shouldnt be watching this video.

  • gee you know it doesn't say "how to for the advanced player: scanning" so um yea you where saying?

last time i checked it just mentions eve online how to scan. doesn't say its for pvp or pve it just says how to scan. if others shouldnt be watching this just because they dont know what an AU is, which very few people do, then you shouldn't be on youtube.

  • what ship is that

  • Enyo, Gallente Assault Frigate

  • i love the sound of small blasters... who here else agrees?

  • thx, and was that with the basic ship scanner?

  • Nice vid! Love the surprise

  • Yes you can, and its importent to do so.

  • were you not watching the video at all?

  • one thing to add to this, if u right click your ship in space the scanner "eye" pops up and this box represents the exact direction of your 5 degree scan

  • or hold alt

  • Nice little guide. sometimes it's an idea (In populated systems) to scan from a safe spot near wherever. Also, if you've got a lot of things in a row, and you're doing it from a distance, you might wanna play with the range settings a little.

  • oh also, what system is this? can you recommend a system to practise using the scanner and possibly get some easy kills in?

  • i dont remember i have to look it up, but killing aint easy, anyway, not always

  • hello i am trying to learn how to scan lol

just a quick question, at 1.08 in the vid you say to point your camera at the target, but how do you know where the target is and where to point the camera?

  • check all icons in the backgroudn with scanner on 60 degrees, if you have ur target onscan chance to 30 if its still there, warp there, check belts on signature, then check moons or other planets (moons with POS on scan aswell or you might end up warping into a hostile POS)

press alt to get targeting brackets in your ship to know where you are aiming

  • That was a very helpful video heres a dumb question though, what range do you put in the scanner range thingy

  • depends at what range u want to scan, if u want to scan max range ( i think it was like 14,4/14,7 AU) just up in as much 9'es as possible and they will turn in a number thats the max range.. ( i always use the max range)

  • put it at 999999999999999

it will auto correct to the max (in kilometers)

converted to AU it is about 14 AU

  • oi, i realize this is kinda a late comment since the last one was a month ago, but there is also another scanner as well, the "system scanner" tab in the scanning box, every time i click that and try to scan for a ship, it says "your on board scanner can only scan for cosmic anomalies" there are like 4 other things i can scan for, like ships and structures, does anyone know how to use that?

also my friend once got pirated doing a MISSION in low security, how was she located?

  • that system scanned can only scan fotr anomalies, that are rat encounters nothing really useful tbh...

your friend was scanned down by probers, covert ops ships can effectively fit a probe launcher and scan downa nd warp to.

missions are hard to probe though, but u can probe someone in a safespot in 1 cycle

  • thats only used for exploration

cosmic anomalies are small npc rat encounters.

  • clicking your ship to get the square box helps alot with gettng the angle centered on an object

  • when i made the vid you could press alt to get that, and that is what i did..

  • Nice Vid, great job! Narrow escape too! :)

  • nice job, nice video. :)

  • hee reap goeie movie man .

    always helpfull,fly safe

    dutchterror -xsc whitetiger corp

  • ^^ thx

  • also u should be scanning even when ur worping not 360degrees i meen as ur warping to a area were u think theres a targit, as the belts come away from the planet u should be scanning them this takes some skill and time to perfect but u can finde u targit before u even come out of warp that way and save alot of time

  • when ur scanning at 5 degrees the way you do there is always a slite risk of mising the belt compleatly as u only have to be a fracion off but a clever trik is if you click ur ship a squre will apear and anything u have in that squre like a belt u will be scanning at degrees.

  • I prefer Ishkur myself btw, more for the 3rd mid than anything else, but god, those drones do lay down the damage on frigates and other drones.

  • Good movie, very narrow escape at the end. :)

  • thx for the nice comment ^^

  • Very nice i fly enyo my self but it is hard to duel 1vs1 since there is always gang of people going somewhere. ;P but this was nice clip so those who do not know how to use scanner here is your chance to learn :)

  • i made this vid for the people that want tolearn people how to scan and just link this page and let them wach the video ^^.

    alot easier

  • here a extra tip, when scanning for prey click on your ship with the left button until you see a little box apprea and point the box in the precise direction you want to scan, this can lead to presicer scans if there are multiple belts making it go to about 5 degree of scan which is the area of the box,

and i always keep sound on as a extra safty precaution for that very reason you were very lucky to escape,

    good luck pod pilots

  • i can see your name and i still have you in my buddylist mate would be nice if you could invite me to tha channel cus i cant find it anymore.

  • i see you still making vids reaping miner lol nice im Kworld by the way now ceo of modro corp

  • heh i dont lagg out much i just have really fucking low fps ^^ so in fleet thigys or sumthing my ship is like totally uncontrollable. ( for an expample check my fleet vids)

  • lol

  • I really like this game but my connection lags too much and won't survive too long in 0.0 =(

  • i dont use my scanner at all while fighting my target ^^

  • Better keep your scanner at 360 while fighting your target ;)
