  • blue is black belt? are you sure?

  • i see absolutely NO aggression or even effort in this fight. wth.

  • gogogogogo KIMMMMMMMMMM!!!! Kim is my teacher.

  • sucks

  • Trained TKD all my life but this doesn't look very masterful.

  • @chrisfromoh

looks like your skilled on a keyboard

  • fight sir donato :)

  • Comment removed

  • pathetic sparring

  • Master Kim = Master Bator

  • pretty poor sparring hands down by the sides like? and just single kicks no follow ups or anything

  • @gerard991 actually taekwando is pretty much about kicking

  • @gerard991 and the arms are used for blocking

  • @sharingansasuke600 one had near enough to head high to block head shots and i dont know who your sparring but you try block a kick from anyone i train with and your getting a broken arm

  • MMA is the best

  • master?

  • is there no such thing at a straight kick in wtf? itf would hamer this we use arms and feet!!!!!

  • why compare a martial art unless you are actual up against someone that is fighting YOU using a different art or self defense besides it doesn't matter what you take if the person is fast than you legs or arms plus have more drive, focus, and defense you gonna get your ass kicked anyway

  • Hmm I don't think it's fair to say that taekwondo in general is not street art. There are some really scary tkd fighters out there that don't like all this sport sparring and stuff.

  • This is a sport art

my opionion is that Jeet Kune Do

    is better.

  • You would never actually use this "sport art" on the street...it's only a sport. Traditional TKD is a lot more then kicks. Where do you think Bruce got his techniques from? They're all derived from various martial arts (Kung Fu, Boxing etc.) Simple fact is...there is no limitation to any one martial art. No one to tell you "oh you can't perform that technique...it's from Jiu Jitsu".

  • do you know what pisses me off most people saying that this is karate dont get me wrong it is a good style but ratons kinda right tai kwan do came from a diffrent style than karate. tai kwan do isnt karate

  • yeah u guys sucks...booo!!

    specially the blue one....

    those are not black belt...

    think bunch of newbies

  • these guys suck

  • actually, its close to impossible to get points hitting with your arms... first, you have to perform it with the hand from your belt, wich take to long time if you are going to do it the right way. another thing is that you rarely are close enough to actually hit your opponent, and third, the judges have to see it as well, and that might be hard if you are close enough.

  • their arms are hanging because in this kind of competition kicks are the best way to score points

  • where is your guard?

  • Dont DROP YOUR HANDS!!!!!!!! What if the move backfire! keep your hands up D:<

  • DEGENERATION X!!! LOL

  • Nice DX Beat^^

  • W.T.F...it had to be...I knew it the first time I saw their fish-arms hanging around....it's a sport not even a style...and it sucks compared to the original... I.T.F.rlz!...

  • itf is not the original fucking idiot.. that´s more karate than taekwondo your fucking asshole

  • Just so you know, TaekwonDo, actually has some Karate roots, do some research. How could you actually call this a Martial Art anyway? A fighting SPORT that realies on using only those body parts you stand on. A martial Art is supposed to be used to get yourself out of stress situations, not score points; it's supposed to be balanced, meaning they use all of the parts of the body which are found effective. Hanging your arms around like "dead fish" seems as a very unneffective thing to do.

  • punches is ok but they are fucking up the whole fight because they are so slow if you compare them with kicks..stupid

  • and if you just kick you can keep the range between you and your opponent so he can´t For exaple stab you with a knife or something like that..you just got owned!

  • Yeah, try doing that and you'll end up with an emo leg, full of cuts, and after that tell me if you can walk or even keep fighting. A knife is a very dangerous weapon, perhaps even more than a pistol. You don't even need to attack to hurt someone with a knife.Yes, it's true you have to keep distance in a knife fight, but rather do it with something that's not your own body. Hands are aprox. three times faster than legs. Punch-kick combos can get easily past your distance mantaining kicks.Balance

  • yeah but it´s alot better to be but in the leg than the stomac

  • Actually, most martial arts I have seen have moves that counter attack the typical knife attack. Guns are something that have nothing to do with martial arts. Guns is firearm training. Melee is martial arts. 2 completely different things. Putting firearms against martial arts is unfair. Its like making a bull fight a sheet of wood. Martial arts is only taught for those situations when no one has a gun and we can all get along by fighting with body parts. (I learned tae kwon do 1st degree black)

  • My point is it may be hard to fight a knife but im pretty sure there are always lots of opportunities to counter attack. Like using another weapon you find on the wall, ground or around you. Even though that sounds freestyle and disgraces the martial art you practice, its necessary. And dont ever use hands as the first attack in a situation where the enemy has a knife. They are too short. ALWAYS kick below the waist so the person's hands can't reach you. I've done it to my friends in hand2hand.

  • This is modern TaeKwonDo, please do YOUR research. But yes TaeKwonDo does have Shotokan roots. Traditional TaeKwonDo is the actual Martial Art. You are looking at the sports section right now.

  • Actualy its always been like a sport there is no cheap shots in the traditional.

  • ? Remind me, what martial art has a "cheap" shot. Kinda funny for someone to say something like this....especially when martial arts are based on the element of suprise.

  • Jeet Kune DO has cheaps shots like the finger jab to the eye kick in the nuts bruce lee only got his kicks from taekwondoe

he was only fasinated in they're kicks thats it

he was more fasinated in western/classical boxing.

Your and idiot i fought a taekwondoe black belt who was 15 (im only 13)

and i won by a sinply kcik to the nuts!

THIS IS A SPORT ART not a street art ;)

plus bruce base art was wing chun.

  • Hmmmn I took TKD from an instructor who never did it for competition, the focus was self defense.

  • what is a music ?

  • those guys suck no offence but you can see lots of moments when they are totally out of balance

  • That version of sparring isnt for self defense, its sport taekwondo that you get at the olympics, no punching etc.

  • Their arms hang there like dead fish.

Not sure what the point of this is... it's completely useless for self defence.

  • which one is the master...?
