we have to sing this song in vocals class at school... i didn't like it at first, but it grew on me. i love it now. and the lyrics mean a lot to me right now <3
I listened to them for the first time a few weeks ago, and for the hell of it clicked on some other songs. Now I can't get enough of this band. I think they're real music.. no auto-tune, real musicians who can ACTUALLY play their instruments and produce lyrics that truly relate to the lives of so many people. I truly love this band and what they bring to music, they show salvation for modern music..before music turns completely auto-tuned and shitty. <3
Hey guys, Im still lovin Mumford & Sons, but this comment is a huge shout out to everyone thats hit me back with suggestions for similar music!!! Ive loved all of them, and I really appreciate you spending your time to help a fellow music lover out. Cheers again!!! Peace
I saw the recommendation on MTV and was surprised that they showed this amazing band...I heard two notes of "Little Lion Man" and straight went to google the band. I can't stop listening, I can clearly say that Mumford and Sons is the best band I discovered in months.
great song, havn't heard the full album yet but will give it ago. Anyone who likes these shouls listen to the album 'howl' by Black rebel motorcycle club
Same story here mate. First song for me was Little Lion Man and now im hooked. Ive been tryin to find similar bands too if anyone can recommend any. Peace
First thing I can think of (well at least music with prodigious amounts of banjo haha) is Sufjan Stevens, try any of his stuff from the Illinois album stuff like; Come On! Feel the Illinoise, Jacksonville, Chicago, Decatur.
My internet is being unnecessarily temperamental, but I managed to give "Jacksonville" a listen and i like what I hear, espicially for a young American artist as Ive always far preferred the British.
Oh nd if DanLSE means your first name is Dan then so is mine.
If it doesn my name's still Dan though.
Also took a geez at your favs and i like your taste in music, do you listen to dubstep at all? Might not be your thing, not sure.
I've got a couple to recommend. They might be a little out there, but Beirut is a really good band, and Devotchka is another one. They definitely aren't mainstream, but I love them.
@KnivesOnStove Hi,you may like Ryan Adams, a great singer song writer ,take note "Ryan" not Bryan. Try the song Magnolia Mountain or Oh my sweet Carolina or When stars go blue or Let it ride. Many good songs and other bands do covers of many of his songs including Elton John singing his own version of My sweet Carolina. Have a listen, you'll like
@KnivesOnStove Check out Ray Lamontagne...it's not identical, or even close to, but he's really excellent and if you like these guys, you'd probably like him too. And, maybe Devendra Banhart, although he's got a bit of a weirder vibe going on. I love them both as well as Mumford and Sons <3
Bon Iver is pretty similar in my opinion. They have the folk genre going on. They are really good. Recommended songs would be Skinny Love, Blood Bank and The Wolves. They also have a song they made through auto-tune called Up in the Woods. I've heard mixed reviews about it but I like it.
if you dislike this song you have no taste in music
