  • i just got a 2010 dual rec these tones i can get easily !

  • your playing is not on par with your amp head.

  • @DB73093 who asked you?

  • What kind of guitar do you use?

  • The guy just walks in and starts playing drums, awesome..

  • that's what i call an amp... Keep rockin man!!!

  • when changed the tubes did you hv to do bias, etc or just plug and play ? Isn't it a fixed bias?

  • blackface..... excellent......xd

  • i favorited this just because the drummer walked in and started jamming

That sounded really good btw could be a song :)

  • @LokiAashraya It actually was part of a song we played in that band at the time.

  • ...*drummer walks in all nonchalantly* "Hey that sounds good...I think I'll start jamming along" lol loved that. Good clip!

  • *I wonder if I can mod the 3 channel mesa rects to sound like the dual channel rect.

  • @nrodri10

I owned both... they sound the same.... don't get fooled by the dumb hype that always insists that older gear sounds better... it isn't true

  • dude I wonder if I can mod the 3 channel mesa rects to like the dual channel rects. I heard from many people that the dual channels rects sound better than the 3 channel ones...

  • hi dude...what are your settings on the maxon to boost the recto

  • sounds awesome

  • what cab and speakers?

  • is this a real clackface? too many people paint there's and go "oh, you wouldn't even know the different" which i just think is bullshit.

  • No paint job here, this one is factory original.

  • Badass Silverwulf! How do you like the 5881s compared to regular 6L6? I have a set and to me they sound kind of dark.

  • Thanks! Yeah, they are a little darker, but that's actually why I like them. They roll off the highs some, have a thick mid range, and they have very little bottom end which helps keep the bass in check on the Recto. I think Rectos sound best with V30's, but the high end and upper mids can get excessive if you don't watch your settings. I like to run my Presence a little higher than most, so the Sovtek 5881's let me do that without the sound becoming piercing.

  • wow how is that eq'ed? and what tubes are they?

  • 2 Channel Recto - Revision G - "Blackface"

    Modern/Bold/Diodes

    Treble - 11:00

    Mids - 12:00

    Bass - 10:30

    Presence - 1:00

    Gain - 12:00

Volume - Not sure in the clip, prob around 9:30 to 10:00

    Boosted with a Maxon OD808.

Tubes are high gain JJECC83's in the front and Sovtek 5881's in the power section.
