WD-40 and a lot of sand paper.

What you need to do is sand it down alot !

Then use Grey primer

Then paint it thecolour you want !

why do you have to tapoe off where the grip area?

and when u sand them down do u sand the bit where the grips go or not?

Tape the grip area off or you'll never get your grips off again. The new paint like "melds" with the grips and it's harder than shit to get off.

Or do you mean where the stem grips?

You don't have to. Just tape it off.

Paint under your grips like an inch tho. It'll look cleaner.

Not the stem itself, but the area where your stem clamps onto your bars. If you don't your bars will slip.

This isnt really the advise you want to be giving people. You said it yourself, it gets messed up anyway and is a waste of paint, no offense but your a novice painter and don't really know anything about the trade. I suggest you sharpen your technique before you make another video. Also, try pin stripe tape, its meant for making stripes.

Tape off the grips and stem areas or the paint will make your grips and stem slip. I found Dupli-Color to work the nicest, Krylon is horrible!

i used the wrong kind of tape and it turned out ugly as fuck, so i justed painted my whole bike white and then hand sprayed red paint stripes that turned okay, but it still looks sick in a ghetto kind of way. i might post idk!
