I browse through your videos thinking "I am going to make this recipe!" And then, out of the corner of my eye I see another recipe and think to myself "Actually, I'll make this one!" Five videos later I want to make every one I click on!
I will DEFINITELY be trying this recipe, though. It looks fun and delicious. I have your self-saucing pudding in the oven right now, so it's a good thing this cheesecake is a no-bake recipe, lol!
Made this Saturday for a Super Bowl gathering and it got many compliments. It was delicious, a good mix of sweet and tart. I did have an issue with it setting properly, though I expect it was due to non precise measurements of creamcheese (217g packs and so I had to guess to get the rest) and I am sure I put in more strawberries than I should have (about 350g is a guess.) Regardless it was good and some people asked where I got the recipe, so hopefully some new viewers! Thanks for the recipe. :)
Follow up - It set well for the most part, but was slightly runny in the center. I also was only using a 1.5 inch pie pan as I don't have a nice cheesecake making pan like you did. Do you think it was the over use of strawberries (easily my favorite fruit, so it was hard NOT to exceed.)
I'm so glad I stumbled upon your videos! I have just recently realized that I have a passion for baking/cooking - these recipes are so non-overwhelming, I love it! (Hey, ignore comments from rudey-poos, they're not worth your time).
I don't have any mixer, i only have a whisk, is it still possible for me to mix the block of cream cheese when i cubed it? Or can I substitute the block of cream cheese with the cream one? (the one looks like in the cup of yogurt, i'm not sure how to describe it...)
@TheKeyofDestinyXIII You really need a mixer for this. The mixer will achieve the right consistency and get air into the mixture. You can use a cheap electric hand mixer if you like ;)
@TheKeyofDestinyXIII A whisk would make it really difficult to mix these ingredients and your arm would likely want to fall off. Even with a hand mixer, I found myself mixing for a pretty good amount of time, can't imagine trying to do it with a whisk. Get to a department store or clearance store and pickup a $10-$15 hand mixer. It's worth it.
Definitely going to give this recipe a shot. I have a friend who keeps on nagging me to make them a strawberry cheesecake and this recipe looks pretty cool!! Keep up the good work! :)
I'll halve the ingredients and make a small one of these this weekend. It's gonna be a while till I see 8 people at one time. so nom nom nom all for me!
do you think I can find cream cheese on lidl?its so difficult to find myself some cream cheese where i live in! is it that philadelphia cream cheese to put on toasts? this looks great thanks david so much
I'de love to nom nom nom.......but Cheesecake is WAY too rich, so....NIBBLE NIBBLE NIBBLE! (And strawberry is favorite, however, never had it IN the cheesecake, only in the sauce that's draped over it....so this IS a must try....David, u out did yourself!
@DesertMURASAME Yes, you need to use condensed milk for this recipe. As for chocolate, I'd recommend using my "Chocolate Cheesecake" recipe - it's baked but it doesn't taste like a baked cheesecake. You'll find it in the "Desserts" playlist on my channel page ;)
@OnePotChefShow Noticed, that you like to 'extend' the biscuit base to the side, wouldnt that make the thickness of the base disappear along with the crunchiness?
i only have frozen strawberries on hand :( can i use frozen strawberries instead? or substitute with other berries? Love love LOVE your shows :D hope you can reply!
@christmasjingle16 Defrost the strawberries first so they break up and mix into the cream cheese mixture. You can also use other berries or any soft fruit you like ;)
I have to admit. I hate cheesecake. I've had to make cheesecake a million times in my life and if I never had to eat a cheesecake again, it'd be too soon. But this made me WANT to make a cheesecake!
@xBreeTannerx Not really, this recipe kind of relies of the condensed milk. You might need to find a different recipe if you can't find condensed milk where you live.

Looks good! No other sugar added; just the sugar from the cookie base and natural sweetness of the strawberries? I'm looking for tasty treats recipes with low sugar.

I made this with blueberries instead & it was delicious & simple to make.
One thing though- you don't need anything near 250gm of butter to make the base.
I used 70gm with excellent results.

I made a Apricot cheese cake back in 2010, and topped it with Apricot Halves and a Apricot Juice/Gelatin mix ... You can do the same with Strawberry.
You have to TYPE the link in for it to work (Bloody YouTube) Copy and paste will NOT WORK!
