Alright, I see a lot of stupidity in the comments. Love youtube for that. Marijuana/THC is NOT a fucking poison. There have been countless studies done in various countries showing cannabinoids have cancer fighting properties amongst countless other beneficial effects. Our brains have receptors designed specifically to react to cannabinoids. I'd say if there is a god he/she wants us using marijuana.

Alcohol is a by product of bacteria and yeast. It is by definition "waste product" of bacteria and yeast. It was certainly not evolutionarily designed as a poison.

THC is a poison that was evolutionary design as an insecticide. Its purpose was to impair the physical coordination of an insect. Marijuana is a poison. Ron Paul supports the use of poison to intoxicate patients. Even though THC has no real healing effect, Ron Paul, a doctor, actually believe it's okay to perpetuate the poison.

Alcohol directly kills over 100,000 people a year, not a SINGLE person has even been directly killed by marijuana. It's impossible to smoke enough marijuana at once to overdose, but drink a fifth of liquor and you can easily die.

He's right—alcohol and prescription drugs are quite deadly and destructive. Marijuana has no known overdose level. That's a fact. It's insane that the government has decided somehow that this natural plant should be illegal. I don't agree with Paul on everything, but he is rational, principled, and not driven by ideologies. Sadly, those are the reasons the crazy GOP will not back him.
