Here's how It's done: You've picked up already solved cube, made about ~100 flips and you've remember it. Every flip you've been written on a shit of paper, and when It was time to solve the cube, you've reversed every flip that was written on a shit of paper.
Illation: You've been memorising the flips, not the colors.
No, there's a method where you memorise 43 (about) ways of doing it, then you just look at the pattern of the colours on each side and think "that's [that] pattern, then you do all the moves for that specific pattern. There's a name for it but Idk what it is.
This is not a backward!
He can't put the bandana to the up from the lower side!! if it was a backward, look to 00:24 very well and imagine the reverse action!

Thats why he examines the cube so much, he counts in his head from the sides hes felt hes done. He knows which colors hes finished.
