In the SRT-4's defense, the person driving didn't have good cornering technique. The driver kept coming into the turns too hot and kept braking during the entry. Not to mention the poor line selection, late apexing turns that didn't need it...

@xeg6x I miss my 1985.5 944 :( I do agree that its probably the best handling non-awd car for under 40K USD these days.

I raced a buddy of mine in his 2.5 Legacy GT(turbo) with a CAI and V rated tires and handled his ass on the track with my 2.5 N/A 944 from 1985 haha. And when he bought a Mazdaspeed 6 a year later... same story. The funny thing is that I bought my car for $3,500.

This is two SRTs at the track. Neither is a cobalt ss or ss/tc. I know that dash because i see it everyday when i get in my SRT. Nice driving, good to see some SRT's going circuit racing. Showing our cars are useful in other ways than straight lines.

i dont think the car that u are in is the coblat because if you see where the bost gages is in the car it is the same as the where it is in the srt4 and the dash is a lot different then the coblat ss it looks more like a srt

...wish I had an srt...i just got a little 2.0 base model...it kinda understeers when you hit the gas in the corner but i guess i need better tires before i can point out flaws of the performance.

I love it though,i just wish I could throw a twin turbo intercooled system in it.

Poor handling american made cars are a thing of the past. The fastest FWD car to lap the ring was the Cobalt SS, and I've read some magazines where they said it was one of the best handling cars period, never mind FWD, but period!

@Xtraordinary70 go look at the nurbrging track times.. it ran an 8:22.48 i think.. not sure the .48 is right but it was an 8:22.. none the less the cobalt ss/tc has the fastest set time at nurburgring in its class end of story.. point blank period. srt-4's are great cars dont get me wrong i love them actually my brother has one. and if i could have found a stock one for sale when i bought my cobalt i probably would have bought that.. but seriously do ur homework and actually read mags. before u
