I have a love hate relationship with ankle biters!
My apartment only allows dogs under 45lbs so my dream of owning a rottweiler is currently on hold... I'd love to get an Italian Greyhound since they are basically miniature greyhounds that at least it looks like a real dog. I'm probably going to get a pound puppy beagle, beagles are awesome dogs and don't need the space to run that a greyhound does. They also tend to be less yappy!
I was wondering where buckwheat was! good to see he's okay
@rooftopeagle I love all dogs, but yeah, yappers can be annoying. It is about the personality to me. Buck is a cool dude. He lives with my ex roommate and has a nice yard to go play in now. He fetches real pomogranates!

I guess Buck likes the large size woman, LOL He sure is adorable. So glad he was saved from the clutches of the irresponsible person who just got rid of him because they didn't exercise control and have their dog fixed. Glad he is happy and healthy. Thank you for saving him. Hugs and Love
@Tanyia48 He has great taste in women, lol. I am so glad we got him from that horrible lady. She was a real jerk about "getting rid" of those puppies. Luckily they all got homes, but I am sure we just enabled her to continue this cycle instead of just getting her ass down there to pay for the dog to get spayed. Sure hope not. Buck really is adorable and lovable. Everyone who meets him falls in love.
@FireArmsResQ It is justified because it is considered "educational programming" about pet reproduction (Well, that is if Buck had any aim...ouch! Glad he can't read) and teaching them the necessity of spaying/neutering...
well i wouldn't call myself a huge chihuahua fan or anything but i would put that one on my list of things that are "good to go"..lol thanks for sharing
@lskw1 I wasn't a fan either, but after this guy and a few others I've met (only the non-yapping, non- ankle biters) I fell in love with their personalities. Now I see them as hilarious lovable dorks, Lol. Thanks for watching!
i had a chiuahua, just like him but female, almost the same story, when she first started eating she would eat so much she could barely walk, she would be so full
@greatwf LOL! That is awesome. He would eat so fast that he would do a handstand while eating. I never was able to catch it on video. One time he was so into eating that he did a hand stand and started to flip completely over...I caught him right before he went back-first into his food!
BTW... My baby slept in an egg skillet when we first got together. She's old and sometimes cranky now, but then so am I. We still stay side by side. It's a pack thing you know, and lasts a lifetime.
@ArtisanTony I actually originally named him Buckwheat after the actual grain, lol. It came to mind because I was doing experimental cooking with it, and I looked at the tiny puppy sleeping in his basket and thought "Buckwheat!" It just all worked out so well.
@pelahale Never thought of that hybrid! If you are referring to the lady from whom I got Buck, I think she's stupid and lazy. If you are referring to his new mom, being me, yes...CRAZY!
@chaseme81871 LOL. Usually she is after HIM! Usually he ignores her and tries to go after the German Shepherd. I guess the rejection from the GSD was enough, so he finally acquiesced to this dog's begging.
