For PS3 you are probebly right because it is online type of game and you will get tired of it fast but it is deffenately awesome shooter

that's not a ridiculous amount lol... the new X58 motherboards usually come in a combo deal with 12gbs... 6 slots 2gb sticks... You can get 8 gbs of ram for about a 100 bucks +or - depending on the quality... I've got a Q6600 as well but just have it at 3.2... any higher and it got a little hotter than I wanted it... not too hot but i figured 3.2ghz is enough...
