I can't speak for that guy, but myself -

Lawrence of Arabia, Gandhi, Shawshank Redemption, Dumbo, the 2nd Star Trek movie (the one with Ricardo Montalban), Clockwork Orange, Spartacus... heaps of movies.

The last one I mentioned there, covered the same ground as Braveheart, 40 years earlier, and was heaps better.

Braveheart was (in a historical context) contrived, aimless, low-brow nonsense designed to tug at the heart strings of sappy cinemagoers who don't think about what they're watching.

BUT, and that's a big but, if that stuff works for you, then it's your prerogative.

However, unimaginative filmmaking like this deserves to be lampooned, and it's our mandate on this channel... and it was requested by our subscribers.

True, if you sit down and forget about the innaccuracies, the poor accents and the predictability of Randall Wallace, it's a fine movie.

I don't like having to 'switch off my brain' for a movie to work though. It usually means the movie stinks.

Yo. Since you guys reply to like every comment I've seen, then please answer: How did you get Braveheart into a format that can be edited? I've been looking for ways to get it into my editing software to make William Wallace look like an idiot (With respect to the actual William Wallace), and I've had no luck so far. Any tips?

If you really want to make William Wallace look like an idiot, then just upload the movie as it originally appeared in 1995.

Not sure what type of computer you're using. If you're on a Mac it'd be easier to explain, because that's where the programs are that we used.

If not, then I guess you've got a lot of Googling to do!

well with that in mind - we had Braveheart on DVD but couldn't be fucked trying to convert it into any kind of video, so I just downloaded an AVI of it to work with.

I would then use Quicktime Player to then turn chunks of the movie into DV files.

I stress - you'd be hard pressed to make him look any stupider than the movie already did, ha-ha.
