Honestly, those who keep saying "use your fingers"...

those of us using apps that require you to hand-write stuff, or draw things with precision...its very hard to do so because the tips of fingers are very thick. I find it much easier to hand-write or draw on the ipod when I use the thin-end of a stylus. Thanks for the great vid! :)

It's not rare to hear someone say..."Why a stylus? Fingers work great." Using fingers - is the very same thing as driving a car WITHOUT power steering. @Deutschgeck i think the don't react on touch like other touch screens (witch means that you can use it with every object and material rubber, pen, wood etc.) but the apple touch screens work with the tiny current that goes through your fingers thats why all styluses are out of metal or some kind of conductive material.

what u can do is damp a tissue then wrap is around somthing round like pencil i used a nintendo stylus then used cellotape then the tissue is wraped and the tip is used on screen it does not damage the screen its tissue loolz

at first i was like this is totally not gunna work but when i tried it it worked perfectally!!!!! i have3 a suggestion tho when u r starteing to roll the pencil put some super glue on the pencil first then start rolling and at the end when u put tape on it use super glue again it looks flawless then!!! and when your done you can make it look aweseomer by pimpin it out with sharpie!!!

Iphone uses the touch screen by conducting electricity in the area. By using the tin foil, it will transfer electricity from your hand to the screen.

Instead of grinding down the tip, you can cover the tip with a thin layer of fabric. I think this would also be better for the screen.

Personally, I'd say thin felt would be a good choice.

I will clear everything up. lol. Apple's touch screen devices use the electricity of ur finger which not alot of devices do. I know, its faster but you have to use certain stylus only unlike pressure touch where the device senses the pressure you give to it. So... to send ur small electricity to the screen, you obviously have to think the metal foil pencil as your extra finger that can transfer some electricity.

make sure u arent using the tip, the touch's screen has to detect it like a finger, must be a bit thicker on the tip's face, try to make the foil nice n tighit around the crayon, and make sure ur touching the foil.

untill its flat n smooth, like a finger,maybe even a little convex by smoothing around the edges to, makes it easier to use it at an angle, cuz no one wants to use a stylus directly flat on the touch like a90 degree angle, usually titled a lil to the side, so however it feels most natuarl by how u hold it, and like a finge :) hope that wasnt too confusing lol
