  • the movie is the best movie ive seen in my life and the book was (ok) not as good as the movie though .. the movie is more dramatic and they chose the best actors for the characters especilly for scipio it was Rollo Weeks, and prosper was aaron joncson, riccio and victor those were the best people for the movie. but the others were awsome too ( i love the movie

  • Pretty kewl movie, it was made a while ago though, and some of you are just NOW figuring that out?

  • I've read the book and I LOVE it! It was great, esp. the way Cornelia Funke (the author) described Venice...

I still have to watch the movie though,, I hope it's as good as the book!

  • it took me about 1 day to read the book. Scipio was my fav character, my friend said it ended sad (the book) and i told her if anything happens to Scipio, i will stop reading. The movie looks so different, but i will give it a shot.

  • i never even knew there was a movie lol.

but i love love LOVE the book. I read it six times in a row.

  • yeah im not into book reading that much, but i decided to read this book twice a year since i first read it in 5th grade. um if uve seen the movie can u tell me if its good? i want to watch it with a my school football team since i got them to read it (lol i forced them) but if u could that'd be great

  • oh yeah I watched the movie a few weeks ago. It's definitely a family friendly movie, like it's something a kid might enjoy, but if you liked the book that much then i'm sure you'll like the movie. I thought it was great.

  • thanks

  • sure np

  • i red the book loved it like my fav now but the movie lookes nothing like the book

  • that's not true.

in fact, the movie and the book are very similar,

  • good story

  • im reading the book right now and im almost done and i plan to watch the movie afterwards. XD

i love the book. im not really into adventures but i became TOTALLY inlove with the book. and i really look forward in watching the movie.

  • @turksdturkey ditto. sounds fun! dunno if the movie will do the book justice, though...

  • @turksdturkey lol that just reminds me i finished the book today but i herd the book is better than the movie :P

  • Is the movie different from the book?

I read the book, it was totally different than this.

  • the book is grat!! but i dont know about the movie...i dont want to be disappointment.....

  • they ruin it with the magic

  • i love the book, but this movie looks really, really bad.

  • Well I am a Big Big Big fan of the book and the movies almost the same. they even uses some of the same lines.

  • Books are always better than movie, but i think Davin ci code both good.

  • this is one of my all-time favorite books. is the movie good?

  • It is.

  • the book was so much better

  • i didnt know it was a book, but this film surprised me. the acting of the children was really good and i loved the music..

  • i read the book and i liked it and i wanna also see the movie but the book is always better XD

  • i like this movie, but the book was better.

  • nuts

  • You made this with Windows Movie Maker, right? Can you please tell me how??

  • Sorry, but I didn't make this video. I downloaded it from a site.

  • Book is better

  • I never knew they made the movie... well, I hope the film as good as the book.

  • Love the movie, love tha trailer!

  • OMG! I never knew it was a movie, I bet it sucks XD

  • No actually its really good (:

  • okay well ive never read the book so i cant judge, but the film was better than i thought it would be..

  • My Fav book i didnt know there was a movie

  • I didn't even knoe this was made into a movie. Is it any good?

  • yeah, well I think it is.

If you've seen Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, the boy who plays Propser is Robbie.

  • love this movie

  • rollo and aaron are sooo cute! ^.^

  • they made a movie? :O

    WITH AARON JOHNSON?

    <3

  • hmmm....i never knew they made a movie out of this book....i dont think it came to theaters...did it??

    and besides, it looks suckish.

  • This movie is the most accurate portrayal of a book since BBC's Austen book adaptions. It's a pity they play up the whole 1.5 minutes of stuff they added, but I assure you the trailer is VERY misleading. The stuff with the mermaid and shizzle could easily all be in Bo's head. Watch the trailer for Bridge to Teribithia, they do the same thing.

  • I agree

  • this has nothing to do with the book, its probably not from the book

cause i read the book and there were no such things of magic, just about this rich kid who stole shit from his house and told these poor kids living in the thing that he stole them, hence the name, THE THEIF LORD.

  • it does have stuff to do with the book you need to actually WATCH the film

    x

  • This is murder of a decent book, let's be honest. There is no need for magic.

  • watever read book. watch film their is nagic in the book

  • ok listen it DOES have to do with magic i mean a merry-go-around that can turn u into an adult child... that sounds like magic to me!

  • he did turn into an adult

  • aw! i remember reading the book!

i want to see this :]

  • they totally thrashed the book, what the hell is up with the memaid and lion, but whatever terrible movie

  • The mermaid and lion and all the others unusual things have to do with the merry-go-round. And if you read the book, there was a lion, a mermaid, a seahorse, and a merman. That's why they had them in the movie.

  • uhh you know what, yeah they did have them in the book but not as flying creatures, except on the merry-go round as i remember, the creatures were just on the merry go round, so eat that

  • Well ya know what? The movie isn't always the exact damn copy in the book so here's a huge 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.5 hunk of ice for that burn

  • and a unicorn

  • Damnn im currently reading the book right now and i was so pissed when Scipio got caught actually being rich. And how Riccio mostly fought with Scip and then when Scip and Prop had like went on the Merry-Go-Round then Riccio breaks itt damnn thats intense :]!

  • riccio doesn't break it!!!!!

  • Barborossa(is this how it's spelled?) breaks the merry-go-round when he decides to go on to "shed off a few years".

  • yes

  • Comment removed

  • Yeah I mean, movies that have been books have never really turned out the way the book is... This of Harry Potter, people that have only watched the movie think its GREAT but people who read the books and watched the movie , the movie isin't as good. Yes, a lot of characters didn't turn out right in the movie of The Theif Lord, but it sounds WAY more exiting as a book than the movie.

    Btw, I LOVE THE BOOK!!!

  • lol i bet harry potter (daniel radcliff) is never going to kiss anyone else but cho in the 6th movie.

  • Comment removed

  • i read the book and it was better *no offence*

  • For those who have seen the movie, is it like book??

  • The characters look much older than the characters in the book

  • I read this yesterday. I imagined the charectars to be soooooo different from what they have here!

  • i totally agree, accept for Scip is kinda what i imagined him...

  • I think Bo totally looks like a girl in this movie, and Scip looks much older then he is described in the book..... and is that Asian girl suppose to be Hornet?? Well, even though I'm complaining (not really) I do want to see the movie just because I loved the book xD

  • i prefer the movie i hate reading watching is the best believe me.

and i loughed when the boy said: ( we're not allowed to do any thing with out our mom prommision

  • that works for you because you hate reading.

anyway, i love the book. :)

  • yeah i just watched that same part today we are reading the book in english class and now we are watching the movie.

  • im very dissappointed;

    this is really not what

    i expected--i imagened everyone

    looking differently :/

but i guess its all about

    imganition isnt it.(sigh)

  • I LOVE the book and the movie... but the book is really better than movie :D

  • k ive read the book ALOT of times and thats not anything like i expected. i mean wats up with the unicorn? wow, im really disapionted :(

  • this movie comes tonight on tv

  • ya...this is a good book...i just finished it and my teacher said they made a movie for it so i'm trying to see where i can find it.hopefully theres number 2!!!!!!!

  • why would there be a second part if Cornelia Funke didn't made one?

  • well good movie!!~ u should all see it!!!

  • this movie is soooooooooo not like da book....i mean, wat up wit da unicorn?

  • the book is so good. im still reading it. i luv chapter 27. best chapter so far!

  • I love the book and Im gonna watch the movie some day...ah I remember when i stayed up until 1 in the morning just to read the book. Good old times...I almost fell asleep at school because of it lol good thing that my hair was covering my face and that i didn't fall from my chair

  • i also read the book in one night and i read it over and over again. cornelia funke is such a talented writer! i also love inkheart sniff

  • same here dude! lol ^

  • i remember this book kinda i only saw 1 trailer for it so i thought they didnt make it. proper looks kinda cute. inkheart should be a movie

  • they're making a movie of inkheart

  • lol it is.... didnt u c the "soon the be a major motion picture" on the cover of most of the inkheart books?

  • was it even advertied on t.v?

  • the movie came out in 2006.

  • OMG i did NOT know there was a movie!!!

  • woahh since when was there a movie?

  • i liked the book but when did the movie come out

  • i just read this book for school. IT WAS FUKIN AWESOME

  • im reading the book atm (2nd time reading it good book) i like the part when there out on the lagoon it feels like there at the egde of the world you know......favorite book

  • venice is beautiful...

  • I loved the book ... but I thought the Star Palace was dark, run down, and old... it looks too elegant in the trailor... and yea, whats with the gargoyles coming to life? :s

  • i think thats mean to be in Bo's imagination.

  • oh oh oh! the guy who plays scipio played on The Little Vampire. that's sooo cool :)

  • That looked horrible, the book was amazing. What was with all the mythical creatures and gargoyles coming to life?? Nothing like the book. I'm actually disappointed.

  • i know right? all the creatures were never in the book and in the book it wasn't that magical

  • The book was much better.
