I'm guessing you never made the 2nd part of the vid then? In my opinion the best way to do shrooms is on a slow cooker for 2 hours on a really low heat with water and loads of honey, stir every 5-10 minutes. It tastes so much better and the natural chemicals are released so much more. then you just pour the whole lot into a cup along with the shrooms and drink it. if you cant do it that way then just drain the liquid into a cup and drink that first, then eat the honey soaked shrooms.

Also, shrooms are amazing, but my first trip I did an 8th and almost jumped out a 4th story dorm window. My roomie was at work, so I ended up tripping alone in my dorm room, and I had NO clue what I was getting into. I was prepared and respected the mushroom; but being my first hallucinogen, it was overwhelmingly confusing. I agree shrooms don't taste the best, but I don't mind them that much. They're definitely NOT the worst tasting thing on earth lol. If you've ever tried toss&washing kratom powder, it's TERRIBLE. The euphoria is great, but I can't even down the powder anymore cause it's so bad. Chewing tobacco/dip is the worst tasting/smelling thing out there. A wiff of it gives me the heebie jeebies.

8ths are the way to go, they put you on another planet for the first couple hours, the best way to eat em is to make yourself a shroom sandwich, get 2 pieces of bread, lay the shrooms in the bread, add whatever meats or cheeses you enjoy and eat that thing. be careful on an 8th tho, for the first few hours you will not know what is going on

I just shroomed for my first time yesterday, I had prolly about 3.7 or so grams, just a lil over an eight, and I had a nice time, stuff was pretty abstract, A bit hard to communicate, but yeah, was a great time, I recommend an 8th for all first timers, less you get reallly good stuff.
