This song came out after he lost his court battles with Sony. Ironically it was his coming out that gave Sony the problem. They did not want an "out" gay worldwide superstar on their roster. And thanks to George Michael's perseverance and talent he has been able to overcome their prejudice and small mindedness.
I for one love this song. It is full of the sadness and heartbreak of loss. He really nailed this one but then when you're writing about your own experiences it shows.

The "not so classy" comments shows that some may have their own personal discomforts.. his sexuality is his business.. that happened a long time ago leave him alone and bugger off. Listen to his music and you can hear he is a different person today. How many other couples have done things outside.. or at least fantasize of it.. he's only human!! ..and If these celebrities did not have people/media chasing them 24/7 maybe they wouldn't be driven to such extremes.

One of his ultimate songs.. it's timeless and pure in every way. A song that can make you cry and smile at the same time.. it's so human. Who else can make an emotion such as sadness or loneliness ELEGANT. It's also feels so highly spiritual which is warming to the heart.
