The only reason marijuana is illegal in the US is it makes people more money than it would if it were regulated and sold legally.
I get incensed when I hear pot being compared to heroin and such. I've done a lot of different types of drugs, illegal and legal, and pot has the least debilitating effect out of ANY of them, most notably alcohol. I prefer the pot effect simply because its very soothing and relaxing, but I hate having to hide it like I'm a criminal. I have a job and I pay taxes.
The comment about alcohol vs pot--Ok i agree that the effects of being drunk are much more severe than the effects of being high. But, do you honestly think that you cant tell any difference between someone high(on pot) and someone sober? I do realize you were speaking of yourself, in this video personally.
every drug hits everyone different.some get sleepy looking and slurred speech on weed...not me.most cant eat on coke,i knew a girl that could do some and eat a hero sandwich at the same time,yikes!
I dont take Tylenol don`t need it to go to sleep. I can put my head down and always get a good sleep. If someone is having trouble sleeping, try a natural herb called Valerian - yes that is how they make Valium they concentrate parts of Valerian. as for weed - yes it should be decriminalized - agree totally with you SC. the economy would benefit greatly
As Timothy Leary said in reference to an acid trip: "It all depends on the set and setting", meaning that the quality of the trip is affected by one's mindset (state of mind), and the setting in which they have the trip. So, if you are a little unstable, it's probably NOT a good idea to get high on a hallucinogenic and then go to a bar or some other place where things are a little frenetic, as it will probably result in a bad trip. It's better to do it in a safe place with good friends & music!

I would hate to be out with people who think they know me + 5 drinks later. Im a painfully truthful person and blunt at times id hate to crush some hearts and not even remember. im undecided on this topic. even though you hear the weed smokers saying their are no long term side effects, just look at me ect. there are indeed long term side effects with prolonged usage that can result in quite serious mental disorders. Yes, it is true alcohol and tobacco are just as dangerous if not more so, but these are vices that we need to live everyday in our monotenous lives. there would be social upheaval if alcohol and tobacco were banned. why start the process again with weed?

Good vid. I hate when people try to use the argument that something is better or good in some way simply because it is legal. Laws are often impractical and not based on morality or goodness. I would say that alcohol presents ten times more dangers than weed. But, I prefer to find ways to get high on life without the drugs. Drugs usually end up putting me in a worse mood than what I started with. We are tempted to use them at the times we feel worst...which is not a good thing.
yes,we can use drugs as a crutch when feeling blue...we shouldn't though because when they wear off the problem is still there and now we are broke on top of that.

The closest thing I came to getting addicted to something is maybe a few times I got addicted to hard soft drinks...wich I know is not the same lol.
I am still glad I have never really gotten addicted to anything.

Well we tried banning alchohol before. It was called prohibition, it was an utter failure.
We do have a partial ban if you will. Most states have a "legal limit" usually .08 for your blood alchohol level.
I don't know if they have a similar test for pot. If they do then yeah you have a legal reason to treat it just like alchohol.
