They never mention how much they get paid to do the show. My guess is $10,000 an episode. So when they add up the profits and losses at the end of the show, whatever number they come up with is bogus.
I bet Jarrod is a lot better in person when he isnt hamming it up for the cameras. I bet all of them are better in real life, away from the tv. It's the over the top attitudes that drive me away from the show. Only good fella is Barry. He cracks me up even if he is corny as hell.
Do have to think some things are planted though. Would be a rather dull show if EVERY locker was a measly one. Auction Hunters makes me think that more though as they find huge amounts of decent goods.
The odds are more like 20 to 1 that any locker has valuables in it. Just think, if you had something worth a lot of money, would you leave it a storage locker, not pay the rent and risk losing it? I wouldn't.
@cleancab Your prob. right but the only reason you rent a storage locker is b/c you dont have room in ur house but ur also not willing to part with something either for sentiment or real value. And when you fall on hard financial times the first thing to go are non essentials. So most who lost their lockers prob had every intention of paying the bill but reached the point where they just let it go.

Another problem I have with this show, is they all claim what something is worth, then they rack up the dollar amount displayed on the screen... as if that's what it actually will sell for. They could all be losing big money on this, because most of the stuff, there is no way I would pay what they are estimating, not even close. Its only worth that if someone actually buys it for that price. Plus this stuff is someone elses property that they are taking.

You know how fake it all is when they find enough poker chips in the locker to pay the rent for a year. Obviously planted, because no one in their right mind would let all that go without paying the locker rent, or at least grabbing the chips before it went to auction..
@Landrew0 If you havn't paid for the locker, they're not going to let you in to take your stuff back, and if their debt was high enough they probably decided it wasn't worth it to pay. Finding poker chips in a Vegas storage locker sounds pretty realistic to me.
