She is getting better singing on the beat instead of stepping on it. Yes she can sing come up with something new. Singing an older song in copycat style will not launch a career. Even with new material, singing this style is virtually impossible to break into the music business at this time. Besides needing a manager, the industry is still looking for the next Karen Carpenter or Barbara Streisand. Otherwise, they are only interested in promoting sluts or country music.

This song has always haunted me. So glad to see another generation recognizing the beauty of this item and your rendition is heartfelt and heart warming. You might want to lend your talents to another great r&b gem by Nolan Strong and the Diablos titled "The Wind." You have the soul to do it justice.
