  • Do we need 80% or more on our report card to become a police officer in RCMP? I know in Quebec we need that to be in the SQ or local police. thank you

  • Hopefully doing my RPAT in august. I want to make it into the ERT and will do anything to get there!

  • I'm 16. Live in Surrey. Attending the RCMP Youth Academy soon and can't wait until I have a job nowhere near ordinary. Much better than most jobs where you do the same thing everyday in my opinion.

  • RCMP, well.....they all know how to march. Because at Depot they waste most of their short and valuable training time leanring left from right instead of learning the law. Tax dollars wasted IMO.

  • CANADA...A RACIST POLICE STATE

  • These poor bastards just keep getting worse and worse PR.

Sexual harassment scandals, APEC scandal, Dziekański Taser death, Ian Bush death, Picton fisaco. I've lost count of all their recent ineptitude.

And whenever they actually have to use force and go in and apprehend someone, they get their asses shot off. Incompetent imbecils.

Must be a depressing place to work.

  • I am currently in grade 12 and wish to get into the RCMP or OPP by applying and going to college for Police Foundations

  • I live in BC. Working for the RCMP is my dream job.

You get to taser people to death, like they did to Robert Dziekanski. Cool.

And of course you can ignore the really needy and downtrodden as they did to all of Willie Pickton's murder victims.

After all, those people live in the seedy areas of town. And that's just yucky so I don't want to go there.

  • im 16 from quebec and my parent told me the they would not help me to pay a little for my college because they hate police officer..=( ..but i dont care because nobody is going to destroy my dream and no one can stop me ...actually im a lifeguard and i cant wait to be a police officer !!! Im going to leave my home and suceed my life like they never did...Even if it will be difficult i accept the challenge !! they are never going to see me again and i dont care about what they think !!!!

  • Join the only organization in North America where you can tazer at will, beat people up, harrass female colleagues, get no respect from the public and best of all: you will get off scot free.

Join now and enjoy all the above benefits.

Save your comments from saying I'm some kind of loony tune.

I'm a Canuck , never been in trouble with the law, but have been so soured by the RCMP's blatant disregard for the people they serve even I am surprised at my feelings.

    What a dysfunctional outfit.

    Sad.

  • @zoot3zz

Believe me very much when I say that the Canadian Military Police have a much worse track record. I have intentions of joining the RCMP only to obtain experience on an introductory contract before joining (Ironic as you're a Canuck if you literally mean the sports team) the VPD.

  • @zoot3zz Agree these fuckers are out of control and the worst part is that no one is putting the foot down on these scumbags, they put them on paid vacation until the problem goes away. I hope people start spitting on them soon, I know I want to.

  • Incompetent. The RCMP is extremely incompetent. They're much better at wasting your time than fighting crime. Join the Military or local police instead. You won't be as dissatisfied that way.

  • dream job right here

  • The 'Burning' man will return again. To the front of a Canadian Court house soon. Thanks to the RCMP and their low standard of accountability.

  • FREE APEC POLITICAL PRISONER JAGGI SINGH!(JAILED BY THE RCMP IN 1997)

  • The use of the Mi'kmaq honour song in this video was gorgeous...

  • RCMP are dicks...where in this video does it show that being part of an rcmp you get to harrass teenagers and assault them...

  • @kail443 Go screw yourself you hippy, "Waaaah a cop was being mean to me mommy waaaaah" Cry us a river while you're at it!

  • so you going to teach asshole cops to not tazer people. make them realize they work for the people not against them

  • Or harassing people that do nothing!

  • @TheBigDead0ne

I see, thats good that they are not the same. I joined the Canadian Forces but I was very unsatisified with it. It just was'nt for me, training in the army really sucks but i've been told by RCMP officers and municipal officers that police force training is fun and no where near as strict as Military training.

  • @416xplod You should know that the RCMP are the most professional Police Force in Canada, and they're definitely more pro than a reg cop. They are structured like the Military I hear, but in the Army, fatties aren't kicked out, in the RCMP they are. I may join them instead of the Army, and do Reserves instead.

  • @TheBigDead0ne Fatties are being kick out now in the army... RCMP women abuse problems are now coming out.... Women officers were harassed continuously by male officers. As long as you are not a women it should be fine.

  • @Baseshocks Women even get harassed in the Military. Women get harassed by assholes everywhere, it's not new.

  • @TheBigDead0ne are you watching the news?? Reported incidents of sexual harassment to superiors is going unanswered... I realize that in construction and cretin types of jobs it goes back and forth. but law enforcement is in a new level, they are supposed to be model citizens. Any other government employees that filed sexual harassment would be taken seriously.

  • @Baseshocks I agree

  • @416xplod ...why don't you get a real job doing something productive.

  • @416xplod RCMP is para Military.

If you live in say Vancouver or another major city that has its Police force, the job is pretty awesome. The local Police forces in Canada (in my experience.) are a lot more professional and interesting. You actually get to help the city you live in, and maybe grew up in. Instead of being sent to one of the countless frozen shit holes in Canada.

  • Privatized cops. Nothing more, nothing less.

  • Depends. RCMP is fairly incompetent in BC. I don't know about other Provinces, but they are deployed across the country. Id prefer going in to a city based Police force.

  • Is the RCMP like the military? Is training & discipline very similar?

I dont want to be in any organization like the military, I made that mistake already.

  • @416xplod Depends on the division within the RCMP. If you want to join a Tactical Response Unit then its going to be much similar to the Military. If you want to be a Patrol officer then its the same as any other cop.

  • @TheSafetyMoose do you know how to be a TRU/sru/etf???

  • @TheSafetyMoose How do you join the Tactical Response Unit?

  • @416xplod You'd have to join the Military for the Military feel. What a Soldier goes through in war is constant depression, waiting & sheer terror (or if you're crazy, it'll be fun). An RCMP member, or ERT for that matter do operate like Special Forces, and take out terrorists, but only in Canada. I also have a reason to believe CSOR is more rigorous than ERT, but we all have a 2nd hand opinion on that one. Point is, Military & a National Police Force are incomparable.

  • @416xplod Wait for the North American Union to happen, you don't want to waste your time going into the RCMP when you will just be let go. Police services are going to be replaced by Security personnel. The police has failed and the RCMP does not have a good image!

  • @416xplod i have been told the disiplind is the same as the military in training, and that its harder

  • @416xplod If you don't like the military, the RCMP is not for you. There style of training is very similar, with the aspects of Drill, Dress, and Deportment, along with other aspects of discipline.

  • @416xplod good one! forget the police then its a torture all the same. might as well lead a less aggressive life

  • @416xplod Yes it is, I just got out of their training, it is a paramilitary organization

  • @triggerbane After the training you're going back to the normal civil life though. That's the difference with the Army: it's always military life, very different from the civil one. If you know what I mean...

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Cool story bro

  • @TheSafetyMoose heh, the story s this video

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Isn't this the same guy who thinks we think we're in Afghanistan to protect us? You're completely mistaken. I thought you don't argue on other people's videos, because you don't seem to like it on your's.

  • @TheBigDead0ne sometimes is has to be said.

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Frankly, I can't even find what you posted, so I can't really say anything, actually I do not care anymore. I just get angered when somebody stereotypes an entire group, and I assumed (by the sound of it), that's what you were doing. However you are entitled to your own opinion, once you don't force it onto people.

  • @TheBigDead0ne I pointed out about the RCMP killing sled dogs that belonged to Inuit people, or killing Polish visitors with tazers

  • @MaoistRebelNews2 Well, I don't see why they'd be fighting you about that, but did these idiots face court? I'm all about justice, even if they're RCMP..

  • does anyone know the name of the song at the beginning?

  • @markhamhighlander Not sure but ill try and find out.

  • I'm 16, punjabi, and RCMP has been my dream job since 13, I'm in grade 12 and going into post-secondary living in Winnipeg and wish to be posted in surrey

  • @mUND33PS O wish you luck in completing this Goal, Always great to see other Highschool Students with the same interests as me :)

  • @TheSafetyMoose thanks man

  • @mUND33PS I wanted to be an RCMP by joining the RCMP youth camp, but they say that I'm too skinny and unfit... better start training haha

  • @mUND33PS Sweet Im in Surrey too!

  • @mUND33PS good luck and go far !

  • Cant wait to join the force

  • I'm a British citizen with dual citizenship, I hold Canadian citizenship also. I am wanting to move to Canada and have been considering the RCMP as a viable option as years ago I wanted to join the RCMP, but recently with some of the things I've heard, about corruption, brutal RCMP officers, and a general campaign of hate towards the RCMP makes me reconsider. I have some friends in Calgary, and she says she wouldn't trust an RCMP cop over a Calgary cop with her life!! :S

    Not sure what to do!

  • @Dippers85 What people forget is that the RCMP is Canada's Federal Law Enforcment Agency. Much like the FBI in the United States. As a result, they have powers much greater then the average police force. This makes many civilians believe they are the same as normal police, but are corrupt. this is however very un-true.

Every country has people who dislike Law Enforcement for some reason or another, Truth be told, every agency has its "Bad Apples". But the RCMP is an amazing agency.

  • @TheSafetyMoose Yeah I suppose you are right. No police force is ever perfect of course. It looks like it is an amazing career, and one of the few police forces in the world that actually has a history that you can take pride in. I am considering contacting the RCMP and explaining my situation, I at least meet the first requirement anyway, that of citizenship, but getting myself over there at a time to do all the testing at once is surely tricky, that and meeting the other requirements too!

  • @Dippers85 Good luck with the application process.

  • @TheSafetyMoose We'll see, its either the RCMP or the Calgary Police haha :D

  • @Dippers85 Hey, the OPP is always hiring down here :P

But yeah, Calgary is a really nice place, im sure you'll enjoy living there. Much more fun then the UK, although i have to say living there was a ton of fun.

  • @Dippers85 My Grandfather was an RCMP 25 years never Killed one person. I think there the most professional police force out there. Only fired his gun twice and pulled out his shotgun one time. Got he's patrol car hit 3 times. Who says you have to go to a City there's small communities.

  • do you need to take a second language in high school to become a full time police officer? I live in BC.

  • @darksasuke196 You only need to be fluent in English or French for the RCMP, not bilingual.

  • @darksasuke196 Yeah, Only one language. it helps to know both though.... But i suck at languages so for me thats not going to happen XD

  • This is what I am striving for right now! RCMP is my career goal!

  • @francois109 Good to hear, Always glad to here from people who share my goals ^_^

  • Im 13 and all i can think about is becoming an RCMP

  • @MrHopelessMonkey

Its great to see you taking an interest in a very rewarding career. My advice is get involved with any youth groups your local PD has during highschool and see if you can take co-op in grade 11 or 12 with the police department. Thats what I did and its a lot of fun.

  • @MrHopelessMonkey Its a great career , my father is one im proud of him

  • @DavisCampbell Yeah i thought so too. the RCMP really outdid themselves on this one.

  • Policemanship is 90% presence, 10% contact with offenders...

  • @pspboy7 that depends which city your in hahahaha

  • @pspboy7 I disagree. policemanship is more like 60% revenue generation/presence, 30% going after innocent people, and 10% going after the bad guys.

  • @JohnMuise You sound mad.

  • @TheSafetyMoose Only because the rcmp made me. Ever been arrested at gun point, lost everything you own, tossed in jail for weeks and then been dianosed with PTSD all for NOTHING? It sucks, lol

  • @JohnMuise Fair enough

  • any informations about how to join?

  • This is so cool

  • This is a nice video. I am continually surprised with the variety of duties the RCMP and Police Agencies worldwide take part in.
