  • I hope you guys know that DonExodus2 (this guy) is an atheist now. This video was made in 2008, and in his 2010 video, "Why I am no longer a Christian" (see in the suggestions) he explains why he's no longer a christian, and why he's now an atheist. He also made several videos arguing with christians (such as shockofgod and VFX).

  • I think you are very brave. I am not a Christian, but I too believe in God. It is very disappointing to me that you received so many negative comments from atheists who "know" better than you. Good for you!

  • Just read a few more books by Darwin, Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens. Also shave off your Jesus beard, and I guarantee that you will become an Athiest......All is not lost.

  • You're the one who's appearing stupid. Ya'll may think that making your points in rude, offensive, and vulgar ways makes u seem intelligent and superior but in fact it makes u seem trashy, ignorant, and overall uncivilized. I honestly feel sorry for all of u. The fact that u see the world as materialistic and lacking purpose other than to survive and reproduce, makes me pity u because this means when u see love, u see it as nothing but a chemical reaction or when you hear music, u hear only fre

  • You believe in fictional characters because you're stupid.

  • @oneadamtwelve86

My point is that if you are an Atheist you will never be able to prove that God doesn't exist based on logic. If you are a Christian you will never be able to prove that He does, as the belief is based on faith.

  • @XGralgrathor

Clearly your balls are firmly stapled to the saddle of that high horse. Read my other comments before you decide to utilise your infinite wisdom.

  • sorry, but.. if u think God actually Exists, theres something wrong inside ur head..

let me ask u, u believe in Unicorns?

    probably not..

if so, Why? because u've never seen one? because they only exists in books?

same thing with god, no1 have seen him, and he only exists in books..

so if god is real, Unicorns are real..enough said..

  • @MrGumble1337 By this logic, anyone who believes in love, happiness, etc. beyond chemical reactions of the brain/body, or having any sort of philosophy whatsoever, or even having any sort of imagination would mean there is something wrong with "ur" head.

Also, unicorn does not equal "God." If someone were to prove that unicorns existed, it would not prove Yahweh's existence, and vice versa, so your argument is invalid.

Oh, and ProTip: the guy's no longer a Christian. Check out his channel.

  • @SeedsOfHatred

And I apologise for not clarifying my position. I should have said before you typed all that out. Haha.

  • @SeedsOfHatred

Dude, dust is the best example you can come up with? The evolution of Dust... Really? You're preaching to the converted. I'm a firm believer in Evolution, whilst also believing in God. However, nobody here can present conclusive evidence that either theory is entirely correct. That's why people shouldn't make such sweeping statements.

  • @DeathMetalMorty

If we evolved from Apes, why are there still Apes around today? Why were they not worthy of evolving?

  • @yafb317 Humans and Apes both have one common ancestor.

  • @yafb317 If we all came from dust, why is there still dust? Why was that dust not worthy of being in God's image?

Apes (by which I assume you mean chimps and gorillas) and Humans (which are apes as well) evolved from a common ancestor. This means that there were neither "Humans", nor "Chimps" until some of the species split off and eventually became us.

Think of it this way; the Apple company created their first desktop computer. Over time, these computers became more

  • @yafb317 (Part 2) technical and "modern", until they became the sleek and easily-used laptops that we see today. But, somewhere along the line, the technology used to create the Apple desktop was tweaked to become the first iPod. Then, that big and bulky iPod went through various "evolutionary" stages; becoming smaller and more compact. This is a good analogy, because Humans split off from more primitive apes in the same way that the iPod split off from the Apple desktop.

  • @yafb317 Humans are apes.

  • @yafb317 i dont get your comment. if you believe in evolution, why would you ask that question why are there still apes why werent they worthy of evolving?

that sounds like a question that the religious use to try and discredit evolution

  • what do you call a mentally handicap person? god making a mistake?

  • @DeathMetalMorty Who says a mentally handicapped person is, what you say, a mistake?

  • @pfecjnizzle2013 im asking a question. if god created all humans, what happened to the human who has a mental handicap?

  • Evolution says ocean creatures evolved first. The Bible says God created the oceans and ocean creatures first. Evolution says land creatures evolved next. The Bible says that God then created land creatures. Evolution says humans evolved last. The Bible says God lastly created humans. Why is it so easy to believe in evolution, but not in the Bible?

  • @itsmeCyNtHiA1998 The Bible says birds existed before terrestrial organisms. This is incorrect. That is why.

  • @itsmeCyNtHiA1998 you could easily count everything the bible got right and say "see see its all true it was right about.....so its all true"

But then you are falling prey to confirmation bias. When you add in all that it got blatantly wrong, all the self contradictions, and all the half truths it paints a picture of a book written by a group of humans that lived in a prescience society. Now just cause they guessed a few things right doesn't mean the other claims are true

  • Well spoken, even though i dissagree. Please continue because smart people can be religious and religion needs more smart people.

  • i love burning statues of jesus and spitting in holy water at church. If you believe in god you might as well believe in Santa Clause they are the same thing lol

  • Dude your faith clearly states that were all sinners and that everyone lies.

So if there's billions of people and not one perfect person than why do you choose to believe in ghost stories.

We are all lying sinners wright.

  • @Wordoffakes but we don't lie and sin EVERY minute. i'm not lying right now. the Bible has books written from different men's point of views and they all match each other exactly. why would so many people who witnessed Jesus lie? you should read some passages from the Bible...it will answer those questions.

  • well spoken

  • Sad, That you can be logical everywhere else but here.

  • @theWHYing He's an atheist now.

  • @Drgamedood Where did he say that? I would like to see.

  • @Drgamedood I found it. Just to let you know, your comment is flagged as spam and I have no idea why. I don't like it when random comments are flagged as spam, unless they're extremely rude or something. Anyway, thanks, but I think I already found it.

  • there is a very good science that can be used to determine if two people are in love. Phycology.

  • life is a test. do you really believe he will show him self hes god he will only save the faithful

  • He is Christian.Catholic though, big difference. Then not Christian. Folks!Read the book of James in the Bible. Take note the words, " unstable mind" . I can't listen to this guy.

  • His assertion that lovecannot be tested with empirical evidence is actually incorrect. There have been plenty of endocrinological studies done as well as brainwave studies providing evidence of physiological changes in the body associated with feelings of love.

  • i think he should debunk this video himself lol......

  • @thescorpionking2020 without specifically mentioning this vid, he basically has!

    watch?v=fX1CxxmA5R8&feature=relmfu

And it's basically because of creationist Christ-psychotics that he came to see Christianity as a load of bollocks. The link is the first of a two-part series. In the second, he comes out as an Athiest.

  • @EdM021 i know he is an atheist

  • @thescorpionking2020 I wasn't sure if you knew. Either way, I thought you might be interested in his "Why I am no longer a Christian" series.

  • I wish believers and non-believers should just get off each other's backs. They believe, or don't; for personal reasons--reasonable or not. There is no need to attack someone who has a different view on something from you. That just makes you foul. Gosh...

  • I believe in god now and I always will. im tired of seeing nothing but athiests everywhere i go. For me the only proof i need that god exists is all the natural and man made beauty in this world. And also I've seen some real miracles in my life that some of the best scientist and doctors in my state couldn't explain and one of them was a former atheist who converted to christian afterwords. alot of you need to have some faith.

  • he doesnt believe in God anymore

  • It makes me laugh that some relgious people think you only have to believe in God, and you go to heaven. Relgious people say to Athiests "You dont believe. You will burn in hell!". Bullshit! Its our actions that define us, our deeds, not our beliefs. Plenty of relgious people commit crimes, and plenty of atheists are good people. Who cares if you believe or not, so long as you live a good life. I couldnt give a fuck who if your relgious or not, you be nice to me, i'll be nice to you! ;-)

  • @Phoenix1664 Believing in God doesn't cut it. Accepting him into your heart does.

  • @Phoenix1664 That's right, I know you're not but I am a Chritian, and it says in the Bible that every one who lived a good life goes to heaven. Please don't bother answering this as I believe I am fully aware of you views on the matter, just please although you are not a believer don't try to stray others from their beliefs as many atheist do.

  • @MatriXtyle I am Christian, and I was brought up in a in a relgious family, the fact is that once i got old enough I decided it was time to think for myself and make my own mind up, and not just believe something somebody told me just because it sounds good/convienient, i am not a sheep. But I agree, what people want to believe is their business, and i dont think people should try and sway/pursuade others from believing what they want, that goes from Atheists to relgious people AND visa versa!

  • @Phoenix1664 You're right religions shouldn't force their ways on people, only on those whho are willing to learn, just as atheist shouldn't try to dissuade people from their fate. However I didn't understand. So are you a Christian or atheist? Just curious.

  • @MatriXtyle Technically Christian, Catholic to be precise, but I dont believe in "God" (in the common religious sense), I certainly dont believe in a big bearded bloke in sky, i'm very much a man on science, but i dont deny that a "greater power" that formed exsistance is a "possibillity". So in actual fact im an Agnostic Atheist, however im officially Catholic because once your christened in the church, you're part of that religion for life whether you want to be or not.

  • @Phoenix1664 I see. I partially agree with you. I try to see the Bible through the eyes of the people who wrote it. As an example- They were mostly nomads travelling in the dry desert and so their ideal heaven was a huge oases (as portrayed in the story of Adam and Eve) Also I don't take everything literally, for example I don't believe the world was created in seven days-That was to show God was close to the people (working 6 days and resting on the 7th)- I believe in the Big Bang but believe..

  • @Phoenix1664 ..that God caused it. Well anyway it pleases me to see that you don't deny the existance of a greater power and that you don't think Christians and other religious believers, for that matter, are children believing a fairytale. As a parting note I think the story of St. Augustine's conversion may interest you. Not to try to force my beliefs on you but it is indeed an interesting story.

  • @MatriXtyle Well, i do think the Christians version of "God" is a fairtale, what i did say was that some sort of greater power "could" exsist, but it wont be anything like what Christians or other religions state it is, in fact even of there is a "greater power", when you look at the size of the universe it makes me wonder whether we would even be part of its plans anyway. Human beings have a knack of being self-obsessed and thinking they are important, when really we just insignificant.

  • @Phoenix1664 I suppose you have a point that we're insignificant but I tend to find all of us believe something a bit different.

  • @MatriXtyle Of course, thats why everybody is capable of free will.

  • God is as fake as the boogie man, freddie kruger, the snowman from walking in the air, elmo, the terminator and ted bundy.

  • My way of looking at it: Science cures cancer; religion does not; make your choice.

  • @Avalon400 How do you explain all the phnomena such as cancer cured over night that not even doctors can, then? There are plenty of cases like this.

  • @Avalon400 The way relgious people look at it, is that sciences succeeds because people people pray to "God" for science to work, and their prayers are answered. But when somebody dies it is classed as "people didnt pray, that person was bad, or as it was simply their time. Religion seems to find some kind of easy bullshit convienient answer for all scenarios they can think of, its just fucking rediculous...

  • Belief and knowledge isn't as close as you say. Knowledge has to be based on tangible evidence. eg. You believe someone loves you b/c they give you a gift. Belief on the other hand requires no such evidence to support it.

  • Cain did take one of his sisters to be is wife.

  • @Cloyde100 Only according to a book that says that humans and large dinosaurs existed at the same time. We now know that to be untrue.

  • @ndrthrdr1 Are you sure?

  • Comment removed

  • @Cloyde100 Yes, due to the fact that fossils of big dinosaurs are never found in the same layers as humans, or even close. The evidence keeps piling up and it all discredits coexistence of large dinosaurs with humans. Do a search on the K-T boundary, the end of the Mesozoic and start of the Cenozoic eras. (Cretaceous–Tertiary mass extinction event). No humans before, no large dinosaurs after. it's a really interesting subject to study. Earth's history has been recorded in sedimentary layers.

  • @ndrthrdr1 There is evidence for Man and Dinosaurs.

Humans have depicted creatures that look like Dinosaurs.

  • @Cloyde100 A Komodo dragon looks a lot like some kind of dinosaur, but it's actually just a modern day, really big lizard.

  • @ndrthrdr1 I never said anything about a Komodo Dragon.

  • @Cloyde100 No, you just said "Humans have depicted creatures that look like dinosaurs." What kind(s) of dinosaurs, and where did you hear this? (So we can verify your source of info.)

  • who ever dont belive in god i fuckin slap ur face in

  • @Evelyn4eva

I think the fact that he's an atheist now is INCREDIBLY relevant! It means he's since educated himself on the subject and no longer believes in fairy tales like you do!

And again, no. Atheists DO NOT BELIEVE A GOD COULD EXIST. Atheists just have no belief in a god. So not a positive assertion that there isn't one, but rather no assertion at all.

_Agnostics_ are the ones who believe that a god may exist but that there's no evidence for him.

  • @macgeek2004 - True they have no belief in God, but they can't prove that God doesn't exist, like Religious People cannot prove that God does exist.

  • @macgeek2004 the fairy tale you're talking about is the fairy tale that this was all just an accident! that some ridiculous big bang created the universe and humanity itself.

  • You think that discussing religion is boring? Well I think this isa huge subject and it is our duty to discuss it, because the existance of god would change EVERYTHING!

If you are looking for alternatives,go ask al qaeda (I prefer the discussion with words then with bombs... how about you?) ;-)

  • prove it.

  • you are a very wise man

  • So I can see some justification of your viewpoint regarding the ambiguous question of the existence of god(s), however you did not in any way link said existence of god(s) to the existence of the monotheistic Judeo-Christan god. This hints to the possibility that your faith stems more from child indoctrination and cultural conformity rather than an objective selection of Christianity among the many hundreds of various religions.

  • Why is everyone so opposed to believing in something?

All you people who think you're by clever leaving rude, derisive comments...just stop. Everyone has a right to believe in something - even atheists believe that there is no God.

If you don't believe and don't want to then just shut up and go watch a different video!

  • @Evelyn4eva Just as an fyi, the guy in the video is an atheist now. And while everyone does (or should) have the right to believe anything they want to, it is also equally within everyone's rights to question other people's beliefs.

You're actually wrong about atheists - atheism doesn't mean positively believing that no gods exist... it means LACKING belief that one does. Most atheists will say that it is possible for a god to exist - they just need evidence before they believe it.

  • @FireproofAshes The fact he is now an atheist is irrelevant . And I have no problem with people questioning - it's the offensive, rude way in which they do.

Atheists believe a god might exist. Fine, but it doesn't give them the right to try to force other people out of their beliefs by being derisive and intolerant. (And sorry that this comment sounds really rude and aggressive - I don't mean it to be).

  • I think the field of Neuro Science IS close to being able to prove whether one loves another. I don't see why you avoid applying science to consciousness and gods.

    Read Eagleman and Harris.

  • dear sir it is very brave of you to stand for god

    but

when you talk about god and his exsistans which one do you mean why should allah or shiva or the other 10 000gods not exsist

just because you were braught up from childhood with jesus

he must exsist and the other gods not

when we talk about god and science we have to use science bcs

we are talking about claims in biology and phisics

either he created us and the world or not

so its evidance must be in us and in the nature

  • When he talks about the supernatural, he fails to address the idea that the tendancy to believe in the supernatural is coded in humans, and is therefore more probable that they aren't real. When he brings up ghosts, it is much more logical to believe that humans are prone to having ghost hallucinations than ghosts, which no proof has been found for, actually exist.

  • shut up and DO YOUR BED

  • Comment removed

  • God? haha

  • nice back drop, do you think you could have made your bed at least.

  • why is this video still up? it really hurts alot of your other videos.

  • @teamforcedjudgement

    no it doesn't

I would love to have a video of when I was 17 years old or younger when I was a 'believer'

....... I can't even imagine what it was to be one.

  • @matereymate well he has alot of anti religon videos, and then i see this, and im like wtf? it probably deters alot of people as well. not to mention he hasn't edited it to say what i used to believe or something like that.

  • It's also worth noting that the argument that science cannot deal with God because God is supernatural is complete garbage. Lots of things used to be considered supernatural that are now explained by science. Science has turned these concepts of the supernatural into concepts of the natural.Likewise, if we could actually observe the mechanisms of God, then he would become Natural. Supernatural is that which we don't understand, and God is a mechanism for all phenomena we don't understand.

  • @Duh1234550 Has it ever occurred that Science is no more than the study of how God created things and the materials he used? If so, then Science is nothing more than playing in God's workshop. Man only discovers and manipulates what has been provided to him via "nature" as it was created. Just because we are simple minded, doesn't prove that there isn't a supernatural or spiritual dimension. Anyone who must see with their eyes to believe is not using all of their senses and is blind.

  • I think you misunderstand the argument of the Atheists. While we do believe that empirical evidence is required for belief in God, the bulk of our argument deal with what we have already observed. The bible very clearly contradicts the theory of evolution. The ONLY way you can say that science and religion don't contradict is by circumnavigating every contradiction by infusing your own interpretation of how the world must work, like fundies and evolution!

  • this guy seems nice enough... but I can't fucking stand these stupid arguments! I could sit down in a room with this guy, and explain to him for every point why he is COMPLETELY WRONG

  • The burden of proof is on those with belief. Religion in general has caused MUCH more harm throughout history than good (hint:1000+ years of progress lost). Morals are best derived from reasoning than dogma. The ideas of immortality, sin and hell, and most major religions are tools created by men to control the gullible. Religion has no value and all forms of faith should be extinguished, as it is the enemy of truth and human progress. I don't just know these things; they are irrefutable facts.

  • @etherous are you kidding? atheists in power 1) Lenin-tyrant 2) Stalin- mass murderer 3) Mao- mass murderer 4) Pol Pot- another mass murderer 5) Ho chee- Wow! another mass murderer, go figure 6) Kim Ill- ego maniac 7) Castro- ditto #6 8) Ohare- bonified bee-ouch and on and on.. also, the most "scientific" & "progressive" century was the 20th and it was also the bloodiest. 2 world wars, cold war, nukes invented, pollution, etc.. science is morally neutral. It can be either good or bad
  • You really should pwn yourself now about this video like you do to creationists.

  • This video really is a joke right? I'm not sure anymore... Can someone please let me know?

  • @gotitans999 He made this video before he became an atheist and it's still on his channel.

  • Terrible reasoning. You should def. debunk your own video, and make amens for this.

  • I am peraonally an atheist. I believe not in religion. But science. Religion clouds thr mind.

  • Hoyl shit. I thought it was a joke, wow.

  • What are you basing your probability-calculations on? Also, discussing religion has brought us a LONG way from 2000 years ago. The trend is called "secularization" and it has brought us everything from modern medicine to computers, rocket-science and human rights. And there is no such thing as "allegorical truth", sorry :(

  • @NitrusTheUnholy exactly. These people argue that there is a higher power . Yeah retards its called the president...

  • I thought he was an Atheist... am i missing something here?

  • @cplusplusish Looks like in July 2008 hw was a theist, but by Aug 2010, his deconversion was complete. Just shows, a deconversion can take time.

  • booooooo

  • I believe in God. But not Jesus...

  • Fuck tr god! You are blinded by religion! I am atheist! Think about this. Thou shalt not kill. The templars were CHRISTIANS who were ordered to KILL by thr church. Your religion has blinded you from the truth! Theory of evolution all the way bible bashers!!!!

  • @IAmAPeanut96 I agree completely. Anyone who believes in God or a higher power are just wasting their lives away. It's all jsut common sense. And NOTHING about religion is. Religions causes death and destruction and will be the downfall to mankind. I love that people think the world was created 5000 years ago. Christians should be wiped out completely. As should religion in general

  • thanks for making this video you're very brave (:

  • actually it can be scientifically proven that two people love each other by mapping brain activity.

  • sigh...why dont you ask Him? or you could read the 66 book that He wrote for you ? eh?

  • @Christianscanrap ; how does god have the ability to bring ppl back from the dead? When has he ever done that? Wouldn't that be the same is witch power?

  • @Christianscanrap ; you didn't answer any questions about heaven and hell..

  • oh and also to answer the "Heaven and Hell don't exist"...i'm gonna like to see your face when the judgment day comes and you either go to one...or the other.

  • well i stand in my beliefs and you stand in yours. But i believe that there will be a day when everyone will be judged by God and that day may be soon or later but i strongly believe God is real and there is nothing you can say or do that will make God unreal :). He is Lord He created us and he created the world...plus scientist are noe ALWAYS right. when judgement day comes...i hope you're on my side.

  • You certainly make more sense and have stronger arguments in your video "Why I am no longer a Christian." This video just sounds like you're blowing smoke, like every believer of God.

  • So you're basically saying that if you can't disprove something, you can believe anything you wish. That's true to some extent, but then you will also have to accept that other people will find your beliefs laughable. Also, all this talk about "personal experience" reminds me way too much of William Lane Craig, which is never a good sign.

  • Safeas____ God is not a imaginary friend. God is unexplainable in his amazing powers. God has the ability to bring people back from the death and bring them to life. GOD IS NOT IMAGINARY !

  • I used to have a imaginary friend too but i grew up :p

  • There is multiple definitions to evolutions. Christians accept that alleles in a population change over time but don't believe in common ancestry. (this is just my opinion)

  • « There is multiple definitions to evolutions »

But only one of them is relevant to evolutionary theory.

    « Christians [...] don't believe in common ancestry »

    Some don't. Many do.

  • Sincere and genuine people seeking the truth should look at the scientific accuracy of the quran and they will see it is the undeniable truth - take care

islam accepts the concept of evolution BUT not from one species to another.

  • « BUT not from one species to another »

Then Islam contradicts the evidence on *at least* one issue.

  • i believe this video got thoroughly thrashed... glad you're an atheist now!

  • @killswell Those who deny Christ will not inhereit the kingdom of heaven.

  • @smurfboywv whoopdy fuckin doo. i'd rather spend eternity in eternal pain than worship your prick god. i will not be forced into servitude by a hidden ultimatum "love me or die" bullshit. i not only deny christ, but i deny bhudda, allah, xenu, and all the other bat-shit crazy ideas out there. don't try to control me with your threat of eternal hell, it only pisses me off.

  • @killswell I guess you like fire and brimstone, good luck with that.

  • @smurfboywv i like rational, sane beliefs. i wish i could put you in the crazy house where you belong. people who talk to themselves and threaten people with torture are usually considered crazy, just saying.

  • @killswell buddha* sorry

  • christianity and evolution do not mix.. at all.. end of story. if you believe the bible, then you cannot believe in evolution. don't try and force some sort of long earth theory into the bible. it either says what it means or it doesn't, don't try and play the "oh this is what it MEANS" game with us.. we are a little smarter than that.

  • .. and essentially flicker in and out of the visible spectrum of existence and light until your "soul" settles down at the beginning again, to reform its little atoms into another creature of this existence we try so hard to understand.. so there is at least one more (and in my opinion more likely) explination other than god. where did the 'soul' come from? well i'm not going to try and blame a (sentient) god. (look up panthiesm for me and see if that might satisfy some of your spiritual needs)

  • gah listening to you try and dance around this argument is painful. well here let me throw my though process at it. what if the "supernatural" of ghosts wasn't as supernatural as we thought? how about the soul and life just being a frequency in a large "cosmic spectrum" from which we start from the beginning (birth) and go to end ("death"). however, by reaching the end you enter a state of "high frequency vibrating" or a 'ghost' state.. (to be continued)

  • the (false) mother thinks it's a great idea and the (true) mother gives up her (half) of the son so that her son should live instead of being cut in half. therefor the judge knows which mother is real due to the fact that the mother loves him so much that she would rather give him up than see him dead.

  • what aout the story about two women and the son for example. the two women come to the judge claiming the boy as their own and the judge decides, to be fair, he will simply cut the boy in half and give one half to each of the women.

  • i'm 100 percent sure that i have skin on my hand right now.. does that count?

  • @CaptainCrunchityzer I actually noticed that after I wrote all this. I kind of wish I hadn't bothered.

  • 5) Why do you think 99.9% of "miracles" are garbadge? If one is more likely to be accurate, how do you choose THE ONE? Firstly, you must know every which one, then choose your pick, which would be the most reliable one. What makes it reliable? Evidence.....

    6) Assuming there is a god, have you really studied all the gods that were ever described and then choose yours? How about just study your birth-given one? Do you aprove of him and all of his actions?

  • 1) Belief is subjective, implying trust&confidence. Knowledge is objective, based on facts.

    2) In your example, person A and person B CAN confirm to you whether or not they are inlove (evidence). And this way, we can go from believing (assuming) to knowing.

    3) Why do you think science aims to prove/disprove a god??? It presents us with facts and that's that.

    4) "If" jesus came to you... Well did he? And if he did, how did you recognise him? What if I am jesus typing now? Do you believe me?

  • People need to decide what they want, a "loving God" that has them attached to strings and moves them around like puppets - no free will, no choice: That means no bad things could happen! That's love? Or a God that created life and leaves us to learn, choose, make our own mistakes? Who usually only helps when we ask for it? My son is autistic, God didn't make him that way, evolutionary mistakes did. This is Earth not heaven! I have learnt more about love from my son then from scientists!

  • Wow. This is poor arguing.

Things can't be proven through subjective validation.

  • Wow after watching donexodus2 videos I assumed he was an atheist.

  • There used to be a god for each city in the middle east. Then the Jews said that there's was the only god and killed everyone else. The Romans helped spread Christianity (and, yes, they also persecuted it sometimes) as a means to control their slaves and undermine the Jews.

So far as I'm concerned, Christians are heretical Jews who indulge in mass murder. Jews are heretical towards ancient Semitic beliefs and massacred ancient peoples. Christians are heretics of a heretical religion.

  • If the bible were in any way accurate, the first sentence of the bible disproves monotheism. "In the beginning Elohim created the heavens and the earth." "Elohim" means "the gods" (plural). As a more practical matter, if there were one god, why wouldn't there be two? There is some "God is everything" garbage that I suppose you could bring up, though it sounds silly.

  • All your comments about the bible are meaningless. There is no more reason to believe that the bible is correct than any other ancient "holy" book. However, since you've discarded a literal interpretation of the bible, that suggests to me that you don't really believe in Christianity. You believe in Christianity Lite. You don't believe in the dogma of Christianity but choose to pay lip service to it.

  • Aliens are a bit of an exception because we can't explore other planets. God is another exception now. It used to be that "gods" were empirically testable because people said that you could talk to them. When people tried to talk to them, they found out that gods didn't exist. To counter this, unscrupulous people made up an untestable version for God so that they could continue to control people.

  • Existence of ghosts or souls would not prove the existence of a God. It would just prove the existence of ghosts or souls. Even if science discovered souls and couldn't explain them, that still wouldn't necessitate the existence of a God.

As a side note, scientists have found the soul: it's called the brain. It isn't magic and doesn't survive after death. The concept of the "soul" is just old science.

  • Having alot of unsupported supernatural claims doesn't mean that one of them is probably right. You can say the exact same thing about aliens, Bigfoot, and the Loch Ness Monster, so there's no merit to the argument. The lack of evidence that any of these things exist is a sort of evidence that they don't.

  • If God isn't going to manifest himself, it doesn't matter whether he exists or not. There might be an invisible and intangible monkey, but it doesn't matter. Even if it exists, you can't interact with it in any way.

Science is the tool for discarding ideas that are wrong.

You say that you have subjective evidence for God's existence. Are you claiming to have seen God or something of that sort? Usually, people claim to have some kind of "feeling" that makes them "know" that God exists.

  • I apologize in advance for this post. I honestly don't care whether you believe God. However, I would like to put out that your justifications are all garbage. Don't bother trying to justify your belief in God because no one can. If believing in God makes you feel better or something, that's your prerogative. However, I feel that you would be better off discarding some of these false justifications that you're hiding behind.

  • lol "we gotten nowhere in this past milennia discussing religion, politics...."

LMAO ye just from despotims, theocracies and the dark ages to well fucking freedom and democracy.

  • But why do we even need a God? There is no need to believe in him/her. We can live happily without believing there is one. It's always good to question and debate it, but I don't see why, as humans NEEd to feel that there is a one. What if when we die, it is the same as it was before we were concieved? Nothingness. Not even nothingness.

  • I belief in God. How could I not?

  • @KrfNYC2 - Quite easily. You don't need to believe in a God to live.

  • @MissNellGwynne Yes but what I was tryong to imply was that I cannot see how one could observe all that is an not believe that I higher source is responsible. Along with that, I was also implying that without a believe in God and a sense of spirituality...I imagine that my life would be bleek.

  • @KrfNYC2 I don't believe in god and I don't find my life bleak. And on your first point I would just point out that you're trying to explain something complex (because it's too complex for your mind to comprehend on its own) with something EVEN MORE COMPLEX. Do you follow me? Do you see the inconsistency in your logic?

  • @byteresistor I am glad that you enjoy your life. Now, I must admit that I do not fully understand your point. Could you be so kind as to elaborate?
