Ok, this seems to viewed alot so i will say this. Download the game free online and make some dang servers. I am online, downloaded for free at a site and im waiting for people to get their butts on their. I am not going to say which site(i'm sure there are many) because you will say 'oh another advertiser' and whatnot which im not. Make sure you have ut2k4 installed first though as i think thats a necessity. Then download it and come play with me instead of talkin about! THANK YOU

As much as I agree that it is a get from point A to point B game, it's what happens in between those two points, dialogue, etc that I enjoy, also, the survivors are just so much better they look more believable. BTW you just cannot beat the feeling when "by the skin on our teeth" starts playing at the end of a finale and you have to run to safety with the characters shouting to run faster and the pilot shouting that he can't wait much longer or the boat horn honking. brilliant.

@ultimateclassix I don't agree, but that's just my opinion. L4d just feels more fun as it feels more like a movie. This seems to just be about killing as many zombies as possible, I could do that in Crimsonland. Don't like the music either, it just doesn't grip me in any way.

i find most of the KF reviews to be very inaccurate and misleading. I understand that they were done a few days after the game was released... which means they haven't tested everything about the game...

It's a good game, I pumped more hours in L4D but i regret doing so, since i shouldve done moar KF playing. In my opinion, this game is the one of the best zombie[fine, specimen] shooters out in the market.

KILLING FLOOR single player no problem. But when i try to play multi player i can see the servers, i join a server and within 10 seconds or so i lag out and i can run about but im not actualy in the game(lag) but its not my internet as no other games do this.

Well all I have to say is that this player is atrocious, wasting a clip of ammo for one bloater... Headshot = instant kill. This game is fun for exactly what it is; a team-oriented horror survival game. It doesn't pretend to be what it's not. If you're looking for a thought-provoking storyline or puzzle solving game, look elsewhere. If you're looking for a violent zombie shooter, this game is it.

On suicidal i think you have to give it a few more shots to the chest for it to die, ive seen some live 20 seconds.

headshots have a percentage chance of knocking it's head off, with it's head off, it can't perform special attacks (bloats vomit, sirens scream, etc)

It doesn't always die.  You can be a level 6 sharpshooter and still have a bloat alive from a headshot.

I've played both games and the both were fun.

I own Left 4 Dead for the Xbox 360 and I got the free weekend for Killing Floor. Left 4 Dead got boring because all you did was run to the safe rooms. Killing Floor got boring because all you do is survive waves. After you kill all the "specimens" you get to go to the shopkeeper and buy weapons. So yea I played it.

Note: L4D has better/more varied/more detailed maps, but Killing Flo0r has much better weapons (and you can AIM them, unlike L4D), so KF wins in that department. L4D2 will feature more melee mayhem.

Left4Dead you can find it in a full retail version. KillingFloor only available on steam...

When Left4Dead first time appeared it won many awards.

Now Left4Dead2 is coming in november..

Killing floor was a mod brought back with better graphics and a better engine.

Left 4 Dead bored me after a while and the 2nd looks the same as the 1st.

Killing Floor wasn't rushed considering I had been playing it for probably over a year before it went actual retail, it just had a really small development team to begin with. Tripwire picked it up, added in a bunch of new features, cranked up the graphics and made the gameplay more streamlined then put it out. There is only so much you can do with an Unreal Tournament mod, but I think they went pretty far and did a great job.

Left 4 dead was released November 18, 2008
