Okay, I've played both Prototype and InFamous. Haven't played InFamous 2 yet, because I want to compare it to Prototype 2 when it comes out. I love both games. They're awesome. But Alex Mercer and James Heller have a hell of a lot more going for them than Cole McGrath. As much as I don't like the fact that you won't be playing as Alex Mercer in Prototype 2, I still stand by the series. It looks amazing and it doesn't NEED customizable levels to have unlimited replay value. Prototype is the shit!

Look at the gameplay, same graphics, similar gameplay, city not detailed - remember prototype 1 the story was just stuck on and did not mix the story and gameplay. Seeing all these similarities in the trailer what makes you think it will be any better than prototype 1.

Prototype 2 is about James Heller, who has much mroe character and depth; Prototype doesn't have online, so 1 point for Infamous! The evil vs good seems pointless to me.

Infamous 2 is about a guy grinding the XP and powering up in order to stop a powerful beast (which boils down to a "dodge-obvious-and-repetative-­attacks" boss battle). Prototype 2 is about a man who looses everything: his wife, his daughter, and his city; the man he believes is responsible, Alex Mercer, grants Heller his amazing powers to save his life. Heller then takes those powers and sets out to get revenge and find answers.

However with prototype its completely separate and don't mesh the two story and gameplay at all. The stories just tacked on so theres a reason to give you missions. the focus of prototype is create a sandbox and the developers don't give much of a crap about the story and if it meshes with the gameplay
